So cmon post a few bets so we can all cheer each other on. Maybe there's a reason why people don't post anymore, but that maybe because of Boards.ie in general as a social forum.

I dont really post here anymore, don't like the posters constantly asking for tips and never posting anything of their own and then aftertiming thanking the poster who had a winning bet. Not how it was a cupla years ago.

Only one win this weekend and very close in the others.. Second and final bet of the day... Barca should get another one but A Madrid were poor in the first half and Barca bossed it.

So how would you like to see the thread improve? What would it take for you to share your opinions again. That's a question to all BTW...

I'm probably not the only one who visits/refreshes this thread daily. Can't understand the lack of activity on it tbh.

Has everyone left the building? Should I turn out the lights?

Its a great thread. Only issue I see is there isnt enough posters here. The same few guys who are giving great tips and picks.

More volume is all thats needed.

I'll give you my take on it for starters...
I'm on a horrible run and the last thing I would want is that someone here might follow this bad run so am posting less and less until that changes and betting a lot less myself on football anyway.

had two bets today...second and main one was man city -1 which is how it's
been going for me lately.
Yesterday it was the anytime double of vardy and kane

very close to knocking footie betting on the head for good myself as I don't have the amount of time I used to have to watch games and am getting all the bad luck going along with some poor choices made by myself.
lastly...win or lose lately I'm not really enjoying it anymore compared to other sports.

Football betting is getting tougher and tougher by the week. Lines are getting sharper and sharper and value is hard to find. I'm sure others will have noticed that football betting forums are drying up, and old regulars disappearing. Perhaps some have found the holy grail and just have gone their own way but it's just likely they got sick of it too.

Seems every man and his dog is running sims which is increasing the speed of markets getting more and refined. How can you compete when guys like Tony Bloom are about and the thousands of younger maths whizzes who try to follow in his footsteps.

I went from betting on 10+ games every day for ages to placing a bet a few games a month now tops. My model stopped becoming profitable a good while back and I don't have the brain power or the sanity to build a new one. Great opportunity lies on the Exchanges trading though and I still interact with the markets a lot there. But as for strict punting on football, it's really just burning money imo. At this stage I think you'll need a few really clued in guys pooling together to build a system to even have a chance of making profit.

Was looking at this game earlier, screaming out goals alright.

Over 1.5 second half goals @ 9/10 BV could be value, and the bookies have the Total Goals line priced accordingly to recent history.

Most of the bets i do are in play now. Seems to be the only place to make a few bob. Looking for value bets in lower leagues. South american leagues and the mls are what i like to keep an eye on. But sometimes by the time a line has moved and bet placed, by time its shared here its usually gone. Like whats been said already the bookies are squeezing what little values left in the markets

^Agreed, I do that for Anytime Goalscorer bets. For example, I got 15/8 for Mertens AT over the weekend, about 50 minutes into Roma vs Napoli, using this site to find value.

I know this is silly, but I've had a fair bit of luck with e-sports betting, but I think the bookies are probably going to sharpen up on that in the next couple of years.

I think i have about 10 posts, 3 "tips" in the football parts here in the last 2 weeks.
2 winners but in all honesty i cant be arsed trying to look anything further than the obvious and post that.

Feyenoord had to play 6 matches in january in **** weather, on **** pitches and by the time things go back to normal, the season is over.

Last week, Arsenal City i had a betbuilder that looked quit ok at ht
Arsenal over 5,5 corner (4 at ht), match over 3,5 goals\btts and over 4,5 cards. Probably also aguero AGS.
Then Arsenal miss the penalty and in the last 25 mins absolutely nothing happenend. Nothing.

No value pre-game here for the corners in the Palace game but I will be following in play on the over 10.5 / 11.5 line for some value.

Palace had some recent high total counts, 2 15’s, a 16 and a 11 in the last 5 games.
