And go where with them, back to WPM with cap in hand??

No idea. I never suggested this would happen. I'm saying they call the shots. If they disagree with the trainer, it's the trainer who has to back down with regard to target race. I never said this meant they'd take horses out of any yard.

lol its an obvious mistake on their behalf, not everything is a big bookie conspiracy!

It's not a mistake, the amount of people who have taken the price already would have alerted them to it. They know exactly what they're doing.

So they are intentionally trying to attract shrewd punters who can spot value :D:D:D

You can take the horses off Willie Mullins when you have Gordon Elliott to replace him but where are you going to go when you take them off Gordon?

Ah I'm not trying to ridicule you at all. Like you say you have numerous examples, I have none. All I'm just saying is if Gordon wants Samcro in the Supreme, he will run in the Supreme.

Again, I didn't say they would take horses off Elliott (you did). I just alluded to the fact that maybe the idea wasn't as far fetched as you might think. Maybe De Bromhead if so? I don't know. Like I said, I'm not saying this is likely to happen, just that it's not an impossibility. They have shown before they they are pretty ruthless when they want rid of someone.

I don't agree with you about Samcro though. I think the only way he runs in the Supreme is if the owners want him there. Again, they've shown numerous times in the past that they will overrule trainers where they disagree with them. 14/1nrnb is a great bet because they may change their minds if the ground is softer than originally expected, but that is the only reason he'll run there in my opinion. It won't be because Elliott went against their wishes.

Shrewd???? Every forum you read mentions this bet, it's not some sort of secret.

Do you honestly think everybody else sees this but the lads in 365 don't? All your doing is tying up money as Samcro is not going near the supreme.

Think it was Nick Luck who quoted RR at a preview, having spoken to him in the previous few days.

Shrewd as in backing a 6/4 shot at 14s, well yes as in the opposite to a casual punter that they try to attract at festival time, see PP day 1 specials for examples of this.

I dont read any other forums so will take your word for it, what are they saying about it btw, that its a great price or that its a mugs bet??

No everybody agrees it's a great price and it is but that's not my point. My point is I think 365 know exactly what they're doing but that's just my opinion.

That was three years ago. Gordy is a different beast entirely these days.

I’m not trying to be smart or start a row but if you think Elliot decides the running plans that’s simply incorrect. Giggy call the shots. It’s a fairly stressful job keeping them happy I assure you.

As I've already mentioned, I'm well aware of what Eddie O'Leary is like. I'm just saying that in comparison to Mouse, Meade, de Bromhead etc that Gordon has far more leverage and a much bigger say in running plans.

Giggy call all the race plans for their horses. Elliott doesn’t. It’s as simple as that. I’m telling you what I know but it’s widely known in the industry so thinking he has has or will ever call the shots on those colors is wrong I’m afraid I cannot be any more candid on a public forum.

And I'm just relaying what I've been told by people who work in Mouse's aswell as Noel Meade's.

This is just laughable. No bookmaker would inflate an even money shot to 14/1 in order to attract bets. If Samcro runs their book for the Supreme will be rotten.

They're 14/1 because of a problem marrying their cash out system and NRNB prices.

If Samcro was 2/1 NRNB (the correct price) they would be offering overly generous cash out prices. As a result they've taken the decision to keep him at an enhanced price but to limit the max stake.

Personally I think if it comes up soft Samcro will run in the Supreme. While Elliott was quoted as saying this at a preview I would imagine this is the decision that Elliott and Gigginstown have jointly come to.

    Boots filled at 14/1 :D

Boots filled at 14/1 now that's laughable considering people can get a maximum of €30 on.

And what's also laughable is you thinking 365 can't fix this supposed ''error''. There's naive and then there's stupidity.

And I'm shocked so many think there's a realistic chance of Samcro switching race, it's just not going to happen.

I got 15 on myself.. Starting a new job next two funds are tight

365 also have Apples Jade at 25/1 for CH NRNB, another cracking bet. Only problem is like Samcro with the Supreme she won't be running in it so doesn't matter how much you put on.

Its not a max of 30 I got 50 on no bother. Its all about getting value. If there was a chance of you buying a brand new car for half price wouldnt you try to reserve it. Money back anyways if he doesnt run.

I totally understand the value and like I said it's a great bet considering there's zero risk.

But I just can't have that 365 have no idea about this and can't stop it, that's laughable.

I was allowed 70 max on.

Im happy to do this seeing as i have the good early season ballymore prices and would be sick if he went the supreme and i didnt have a dime on.

Anyway best of luck to you's all with decent bets on at 14/1, I hope he does switch and a fair few get a nice payout. Would certainly set people up for the festival after the first race.
