But sure they are disadvantaged. We can't say anything bad about them. Free legal aid no doubt as well. This is a great little country.

If it was a hard working man he would be in jail in the morning.
Watch these yokes walk away with a few pound in the poor box that ultimately the tax payer paid for anyway.

I am not close enough to know anything nor are my neighbours .Its Jobstown and we are in Tallaght but no where near the scum to know them .I am fighting the cause because posters are mentioning the whole of Tallaght as being somehow at fault . We are not , some may know them most of us dont . I could twitch my curtains day and night and still would not see as far as Jobstown .

Exactly. Most posters seem to think Tallaght is one big housing estae. it is as big as Limerick with a mix of all types of estate.

Absolutely ridiculous that people resort to stuff like this, barely THREE days into the weather we're having now. Scummers of the highest order me thinks.

What bugs me about it is that they keep referring to the areas as Dublin West, the incidents in Tallaght are being referred to as part of the Dublin West constituency, it's like the papers are terrified of attaching anything negative to the Southside, kind of a farce in terms of reporting. Anyone else notice this?

Having a child to get 31.80 a week.

    You'v not rared many kids.

Be honest please “having a kid”you get 198 for yourself 130 for your partner (if you have one, if you don’t then they’re not costing you anything) and 31.80 for each kid plus CB every month plus probably 22.50 fuel allowance + your either on rent supplement or hap.
    So, no, you’re not rearing a child on 31.80. That’s a lie.

As I said, everyone gets CB for a child dole or no dole.

You don't need kids to get FA/RA etc

So the "added" benefit of having a child = ?

    Trust me.

It's not a get rich scheme.

Was thinking of heading over to Tallaght to have a look what's going on over there. Would that be a good idea or is still dangerous around there at the moment? Obviously won't go during darkness. Live about 20 mins drive from there

Are you actually serious ? Its is a large estate with schools , apartments , houses, a shopping centre with a Dunnes and a Mc Cabes pharmacy .The LUAS terminus is close by .There was a large Lidl close by which is now damaged. Do you want to go and gawp at the ordinary decent people going about their daily business and trying to deal with this ? Are you actually going to drive over and stare at the natives from you car and judge and point ................Jesus wept

I can't wait for abortion to be legal. Should stem the breeding of scumbags.

They get further social welfare payments/allowances if they have additional kids. Until that's stopped we'll never stop the rot.

You'd swear they were representing the nation in the Olympics or something.

Chill babe, as I said I usually don't care but on this occasion I'm pretty red faced about this. Sky News World Wide have reported on this & hasn't done us any good.

    Life, however goes on.

    Take a chill pill.

Your right and from what I see alot of pro life supports comes from disadvantaged areas.

Can't turn down the mickey money

So abortion is going to be forced on them to cut back on government spending?

This is the dumbest post I’ve read in this thread. That’s some achievement.

You sure there's no single childless people getting payments?

Of course there is. But your not rearing a child on 31.80 per week.

I was thinking about it alright but probably won't now. I'd be half afraid anyway so a bit silly to myself in harms way.

There are thousands of people in this country who are quite literally "savages". They are uncivilised and have no social conscience or morality whatsoever. I am sick and tired of funding these people while they continue to reproduce more dysfunctional skangers. Time for change.

Horrific scenes at Lidl. Those involved are putting emergency services personnel and others' lives at risk. This tiny minority obviously don't represent Jobstown. In fact, those involved are likely the same people who have terrorised people in the community for years.

Anger and bewilderment, I understand. But if you're feeling red-faced over this, maybe you should 'chill, babe?'.

The way some people are going in this thread youd swear Tallaght needs Batman to save them.

The vast majority of people in Tallaght are decent people . My father has a house off the belgard road and it’s in a lovely area . Growing up there I never seen anything like this . It’s so far removed from last nights trouble but yet some people tar Tallaght with the one brush . The likes of last night will do Tallaght no favours at all .
Tallaght is a massive area with all sorts of people and estates .

Actually its not. Fairly conclusively proven now that the introduction of legalised abortion in the States led directly to a significant reduction on crime rates 20 years later.

I'm always amazed at what some people who have never entered Tallaght think it's like

It did have some similarities to Iraq last night though :o

I don’t get paid any more wages either because I have a kid, nobody does really. If I got an extra 30 per week I maybe would have had more. Plus my mortgage is the same wether I have no kids or ten kids.
That’s not the case when your on differential rent, is it?
Plus I have to stay in my 3 bedroomed terrace, one kid or 10 kids.
That’s not the case with social housing either , is it?

Do the states financially encourage breeding as Ireland do? No.

That fairly conclusively proves absolutely zero in this instance.

Yes because it’s hurtful to scumbags to have their scumbaggery pointed out to them by better behaved citizens.

One small spot of it did .The rest of us were all inside hoping for a thaw so we could get back to a decent old life and back to routine .Get the kids back to school and to swimming lessons and playschool ,get the elderly back to the day centres , get the gardens tidied and the washing done .The same as the rest of Ireland I guess just longing for the Spring and the birds singing and a walk in the park
