Still a long way to go yet, Emma's main band has yet to give us her heavy load :pac:

    *Quoted Image removed*

Which is the main band? My in Bray precipitation has gotten a lot less intense the last half hour when I was expected it to get more intense. Also, its still just snow grains that are simply not accumulating in my corner of Bray. 5 hours in with literally a cm to show for it

The snowfall in West Dublin is more overall than 2010....a lot more now with some spectacular drifts forming and driving snow.

    Where are you, Kerry??

As if this night in cork city couldn't get sadder, some idiots came into my garden and knocked my snowman, just saw them do it and all. took the hat too.

This is insane. From whatsapp and here it appears most if not all of Dublin is now out of power.

On the powercheck esb app it’s saying there’s a outage in ringsend at 1.34am estimated restore @ 5am

Still power in D7. Has not changed since 6pm from ice pellets, long night but far from an '82 yet...

The Temple Bar Webcam went down at the same time as the reports from Ringsend/IFSC

Looks like a really major blackout in the city

    I'm in Dublin 13, Donaghmede/Baldoyle/Clongriffin general area.

No power cut.... yet for me.

I meant what you saw as lightning was probably power grid related.

Still have power here in Santry, but with a baby I've gotten up and filled two flasks of hot water in case we see power loss

Oh I remember those days, you'll have a heart warming story for the grandkids...

My boy's 17 now, he was out making a snowman with his dog earlier today....

I called it rain earlier. I was wrong and I admit that now. Dublin 18 is under a lot of snow. A lot

Power flicked off here in D14 for about 10 seconds, back on now though.

This is why people wanted so much bread and milk! No cooking required, throw a slice of cheese and/or ham on buttered bread (+Taytos) and a glass of milk. Sure you'd be able to climb Croagh Patrick after that!

I was clever though, I got extra Weetabix and loverly yogurts too. Sorted. I will not starve if the power goes.

Have a little battery radio too for the apocalyptic news, and some torches, powerbanks etc.

I am so organised that I probably won't need any of it!

Hope you will all be ok out there.

A power cut has just happened in Blackrock in Dublin in the past 5 minutes. Inside & outside everything is gone. This is in the Netownpark Avenue area.

So, is there any sign of a storm anywhere in the country? Doesn't seem so.

Yup, all balmy and spring-like, it's like Barbados here in D15.

    237 customers on that one

Judging by the volume of tweets to ESB Networks, there's far more than 237 customers out

in Tallaght Dublin just went out the front for a smoke
Have at least 10 inches of snow in the garden drifts of up to 3 feet in exposed places
not much snow more so its being blown up still a little icy rain.
the roads in the estate are in rag order up to 8 inches deep in parts.
if it gets worse I can see a lot of places cut off for a few days.

Power outages all over the shop. This is definitely one we won't forget in a hurry.

On a side note: drifts are now way above the level of the front and back doors. Incredible stuff.
