30 rough sleepers have refused to go inside tonight in dublin....absolute nuts

Crazy, but what can you do? Hopefully these people can be convinced or at worst forced to take shelter, deaths are eminent if people sleep out :(

1 Metre of snow on the ground tomorrow- RTE Prediction.

    Where?

    Haven't a clue.

Length or breadth maybe, rather than depth ? ;)

Coastal areas of Wicklow/Wexford look a bit marginal on the latest charts but central locations in those counties will get a hammering by tomorrow

Don't know what charts your looking at. Latest charts show all the east coast

The snow here in south Dublin is weird, it looks pretty heavy but it's so fine and doesn't appear to be making much difference to snow levels on the ground.

I assume this is only the beginning and we'll get "real" snow sometime during the night?

Fed up with waiting for this. I'll just have to accept the 25cm lying here. Not happy.

True. If it doesn’t happen now the next two days can be written off.

Jesus Gerry goes missing for a few days and he comes back with a three point play.

Still snow grains in West Clare, visibility dropping however and it's accumulating very well, drifting like mad up against walls and at sides of roads, covering some kerbs.

    More to come!

The wind has all but died! What's going on? Only minus 0.5c as well

Can posters give their location when posting.
Saying " there's lots of snow in my back garden" or " there's lots of very fine snow here" doesn't help anybody if we don't know where you are

RTE keep saying Wicklow and Dublin will get the most snow but every single chart I've seen has Carlow/Kilkenny/Wexford being dumped more so than Dublin.

The heavy snow is just blowing west of Cork City, dammit

Slightly disappointed Gerry wasn’t hanging of the table with a bottle of Jameson, shouting “feck the lot of yees”

Gerry is a bit of a cult hero around these parts , if mentions the word snow its coming , because he usually loves just to say sleet :pac:
