Anyone else wondering if they will bother explaining the helicopter or will they wait till it's all forgotten and then bam! Helicopter?

Think they will wait till the penultimate or last episode of the season. Dangle it in front of the audience.

I always liked the episodes where they were out looking for food and water. Drinking water from toilet cisterns, finding a stash of food in a cupboard, getting fresh clothes, finding vegetables/fruit in a garden etc

I found myself talking back to the tv when Sadiq was talking.

I know I can never repay you but I can honor you by showing your people, your f-friends, your your family that what you did wasn't for nothing. Yes it was
That it mattered. Nope, no it didn't
That it That it meant something. Did it?
    Because it did. Nope

    Pointless death.

    OK. I'm out.

God knows I've stuck by this show and defended it enough. I honestly felt it was up there in the pantheon of great tv shows for a few seasons, but it's become so slow and stale.

It really started to deteriorate last season and it's really fell off a cliff recently.

Sure, If it ends I'll watch the last episode, I've invested enough time and emotions in these characters to not see their ending, but I'm not watching any more seasons. If I never have to see Jeffery Dean Morgan and his ****-eating smarmy smile again, I'll be a very happy man. It's not just his fault, but he's a big chunk of the reason I've started to hate this show.

Why do they always drag the ****e out of good stuff until it loses all that you loved and you start to hate it?

Best of luck to the rest of ye that are going to stick with it - I hope it improves, but I'll be surprised.

Oh, and fcuk me but the apocalypse has been good to Daryl, waddling around the place - lose some weight Reedus!

Haven't seen the last 3/4 episodes. Went to catch up today and couldn't remember where I left off, even reading episode synopses. That says a lot about how bland and repetitive the show is gone. Anyway Carl's death was spoiled for me by someone online in the mean time and I realised I didn't even care. Only recently took out a Netflix sub and there's so many good shows to get through there that I am at long last officially giving up on TWD!

Sadiq character has potential, if only for unintentional comedy. Like yer one running around earlier in the season with a Kalashnikov and a Hijab.

Snow allowed us to catch up so the worst character in the show is dead another one died and went to star trek and the actor who plays Maggie is out from the looks of it ? Good on her she was wasted on this poo. It's become an endless cycle of split the group and bring them back and drag it out for many seasons now. From the looks of it Daryl is collecting a pay check at this stage and Rick I can't watch on screen with a straight face anymore. No disrespect to the actors they are working with the material they've been given.

Even with the splitting the group cycle it takes far to long to come back to something interesting you don;t see everyone every weekand as a result lose track or interest in them.

The problem here is amc don't give two ****s about this show but it's still bringing in monster ratings even though ratings have dropped if they lost another 5 million viewers it would still be classed as a ratings success for the channel amc.

They dont give the show any budget increase this is why the original exe producer left amc wanted more episodes but didn't increase the budget.

Another problem now is actors original contracts expiring like Maggie who wants more money but it's looks like she won't be getting that so she's off to another show.

Then rumors Carl was killed off because they didn't wanna pay the actor anymore he most likely would/should have been getting a nice payrise after 8 years.

This show is gonna get worse and worse till season 14 or something when no original actors will be around anymore and they try to replace rick and the core 4/5 eventually it will fade out quietly with no-one even noticing that walking dead aired it's final episode 2 weeks ago when ratings finally stopped justifying the cost.

I expect Carl's demise to be spread out over a few episodes?

It wasn't, but it sure felt like it.

I wouldn't be sure there's that much behind it. Given the writing's nosedive in quality, I wouldn't be surprised if it came about as a result of something like this:

Munchkin #1: "Let's put in a helicopter flying overhead. That will give the audience something to speculate about."
Munchkin #2: "Cool, good idea, but what does it signify? Where does that mean the show is heading?"
    Munchkin #1: "What?"

J.H. Christ, what a terrifying prospect.
Have been clinging on in the hope it might be brought to an end fairly soon.

Watched it last night, was far less drawn out than i expected.

Was a little touched coming towards the end i have to say, if you've been watching since the beginning, you've watched the character grow up, despite the last couple of mediocre seasons still an event to see him go.

It would be nice to know how many Saviors are left. It appears that in each show we have these battles with multiple people being killed off and then in the next show they are all back again for a new battle.

    This could go on forever.

Did enjoy a poster's comment as regards the Saviors on another thread. That they are so fear inducing and they then lose fifty guys to none of Rick's group.

    ok,

Well, I decided to watch the start of the second half of the walking dead, S08E09 to be exact...

Not impressed one bit...got half way as i was interrupted by something and when I'd finished what I was doing I decided to watch the Liverpool V MC instead...Well, I don't usually watch football ...lol

So, tell me this all you fans out there, WTF, is it worth watching.....It seems to have gotten a bit soggy...bit like Billions. Watched its return only to feel the same way and turned it the F off...Bloody hell, why cant they just end on a high ( or a low ) and be just done with it ...All about the ads I guess....!!!!!

TWD disintegrated when The Govenor was killed off.
    Never recovered .
