Heavy snow and winds now in North Wexford, not sure if we're under the influence of Emma yet.

ME might have to stop issuing Red Alerts in future for Dublin and start issuing 'Bread Alerts', think they'll take more heed!

They'd definitely take more heel anyway :pac:

Live TV3 report -"The runway is now closed at Dublin, no flights landing or taking off". Quick look at Flightradar show this is starkly inaccurate information.

Not as much as dandruff in Limerick - early I know but given the constant pissing rain we get year round here it is maddening

With everyone concentrating on the next 24 hours I presume the latest forecast from ME issued half an hour ago has been overlooked ..... and a nice forecast it is too!
There'll be rain, sleet and snow showers on Sunday and Monday along eastern and northeastern coasts with temperatures still very low for the time of year as the easterly regime persists. The winds will gradually ease, becoming light by Monday.

The further outlook in to next week is for the cold conditions to persist with light to moderate east to northeast winds and isolated wintry showers.

It's a great opportunity for people to relax and have some great family time. I have seen my neighbours more today than I saw them for all of February. I hope the blizzard is epic!

    Absolutely spot on.

Reading last night about snow bucketing down and low visibility in Terenure, Ballyfermot and even D24, I'm in Firhouse and there was nothing at that time. I cleared all snow off the car at 11am today from overnight (about 6-8inches) and theres nothing new there now, just a light dusting really.

People in work on Tuesday going on about Ophelia and how red warning was over the top, can't imagine how many more would have been killed or injured had we not had a red warning.

Genuine question for anyone that knows, how many people were killed during the 1982 event

Is there anywhere in dublin with no snow??
I thought every part of dublin has at least 2 inches or so

Last night and yesterday during the day - yeah there was absolutely many cases of posters on this site talking about the heavy snow in their areas whilst people had none in others.

Check out awecs posts as an example.
