Flights were booked with Ryanair for departure on Friday but now cannot undertake that journey so new flights booked for the following day to a different destination, also with Ryanair. No grounds for a travel insurance claim.

Has anyone managed to get a goodwill refund from Ryanair?

I've never known anyone to get a refund from them to be honest. You can ask but you might as well talk to the wall imo.

If you are lucky it’ll be cancelled, check in for it. Because you certainly won’t get a goodwill gesture
