Snowing in Dublin 5 with a strong wind. A bit sad to see cars rolling over the snow! Children out playing in the snow.

Got a lift in this morning to my course in bisopstown, there was a bit of snow on the ground but not much, by the time we got up to Ballincollig village it wass snowing heavily  couldn't believe how fast it changed, so now i'm in my course and its full on snowing, hardly anyone here, hoping the bus service is still running when I'm coming home :D, its -4 atm .

Sunshine breaking out now, snow flurrying about really lightly. Amazing scene, looks like something you'd see on nature documentaries.

I'm not one of the regular weather posters so I could be wrong but my understanding is a lot more to come today/tomorrow.

yup they're talking about 25cm by midday tomorrow, technically that would be prior to the event, am I right? which means if the storm comes off we may look like the set of day after tomorrow!!

Two inches of snow lying on the ground in Armagh City at 6.00 am this morning - clear sky and -4C. However Belfast and surrounding hills totally clear.

Status orange warning in Cork said up to 8cm. At the rate its currently falling it'll be 8cm within the hour. Can barely see its coming down so heavy. Has been for last 45 minutes at the same heavy rate.
