I like the look of that heavy blob of precipitation over se wexford at the mo. Any reports from there? Looks like it is travelling in such a way that it will hog the southern coast and make landfall again around Cork City in about an hour.:):)

I see Joesgirls confirms my hypothesis....

chances of it moving to cork while its over the water, allowing it to stay heavy then then unleashing it brunt of snowfall here? ;p

Have to say the cloud formations over my part of Dublin are mesmerising. Near Phoenix park.

Finally what I would call proper snow in Dundalk! Light flurries on and off during the afternoon. Lovely to see!

Starting to feel deflated if I am honest.

Just enjoy the show. The sun will be gone down before proper flakes start falling. :)

Just got hammered with a snow shower on the south-east coast. Enough to firmly stick and to make snowballs etc.

Mad to think it’s probably about a fiftieth of what’s to come in the next few days!

I'll only take warnings from ME over donegal weather, but thats just me, even if they can be totally wrong

Donegal weather channel has taken the decision to upgrade Cork and Waterford to a orange snow & ice warning. The euro model shows accumulations disruptive accumulations in the area by Wednesday morning.

Other areas have also been added to the yellow warning due the risk of showers making it further west over night and tomorrow morning giving a dusting in places.

10 minute extremely heavy snowfall here on the Tipp/Kilkenny border. Good dusting after landing, but seems to have stopped now.
