Aer Lingus pricing query

    Looking at using Aer Lingus for a return leg back to Ireland. Comes up as €109.99. However if you use Are Lingus for the outward journey(which I won't as the time doesn't suit) and add the same flight for the return leg the return leg is priced at €99.99. Why is this possible?

    It’s often better value to book a return fare with an airline. You’ll often get a discount for booking both legs on the same booking

    Had never seen different pricing before like that. Just annoying. Prefer the tenner in my own pocket.

    Most people do! Hence the incentive to book your return on the same airline
