Have you ever seen someone on boards.ie in public?

I was on the tube home from the airport just now and thinking about the hundreds of people that must have spotted me scrolling through boards on my phone over the years. Especially given the amount of time I spend on a jam-packed train every day with people inches away from my face.

Have you ever seen someone use boards while out and about? Did you try to catch a sneaky glimpse of their username or try to figure out which forum they were on?

Saw his username on his pc once. But he does not know that I know. Shhhhh.

Yep. Saw a guy on a LUAS posting away a few years ago.

Copped his username. I can confirm that he looks as much as a fcuktard as he comes across in his fcuktard posts.

He still posts here. State of him too.

I have two friends from real life that post here albeit infrequently. A work colleague posts very frequently but doesn't know that I know who she is

Yes actually. She posts mainly in work and jobs and is very true to her real life persona. She would be a genuinely nice person and keeps that online it seems.

Met a good few through cycling forum but now meet once a month with a bunch of golf nuts. Why not join us at an outing and you to can meet some real life boardsies

I saw a man looking through Boards when I was sitting behind him on a Dublin bus once. It was ages ago and he was quite attractive. I remember wondering if he might be such and such. Apart from that I have a few close friends who I met thanks to this place and also met quite a few through different meet ups here.

I have sold mainly to boards users through adverts, so, they would know me, talking the back legs off a horse, when it comes to motherboards etc.

I used to share a well known underground internet cafe on O'Connell Street (Dublin), with one or two boardsies for years, back in the mid to late 90s, long before I joined boards.ie.

I sit beside someone in work who is posting for the past while. Currently posting about a serious issue that involves the court. They have told me about it but know more from boards.

Not really met an actual boardsie tbh.

Did have a guy at work come up and ask was I Necrominus from boards though....

Most people I work with know I post here as I have the site open every day on the work PC and I have seen it on other PCs too.

But meh, wouldn't go out of my way to find out their username tbh.

Oh, and my mates recently discovered my username. One spent a long time trawling through my posts to bring up stuff to rip the piss out of me... not sure who's worse tbh.
