Had to reinstall windows onto PC so lost all my installed games  . Hope the games saves are on steam, uplay, origin, etc. Only installed one game since getting it fixed last week. Warcraft: Legion.

You can keep your files when you reinstall windows. If you did that, you can point steam at where they were previously installed and it should repair the install

Best to have the OS installed on a separate drive anyway. Keeps things like games safe from any issues with the OS. I have 2 SSDs with different OSs that share the same HDD for games.

I bought a graphics card at the perfect time, just before the mining explosion.
SSD however, I slept in and the prices still haven't returned to the point where a 500GB SSD is about €100 or less

Got rid of my PS3 so bought Borderlands 2 on Steam in anticipation of getting a gaming rig, tried it on my I3 laptop and lo and behold it works on low settings with no slow down. Back motoring through the campaign again

Shogun 2 kicked my arse again so I've restarted on normal and done some reading about specialising provinces. Also well into Far Cry 3 and XCOM2: War of the Chosen.

Shogun 2 currently holds, and may forever hold, the title of most played game in my steam library. It's one of those games I keep going back to.

So I've completed the Main Story mode for Shadow of Mordor. Loved it. Surprised by how super violent it is.
Just have to finish off the DLC.
Once that's done, I think I'm going to move on to Wolfenstein: The New Order

The quest to reduce the backlog continues...

Basically, I wasn't aggressive enough on my first Hard playthrough. On the second, I just thought province specialisation meant building a samurai dojo in a province. Read a good post on a forum about it and bumped down the difficulty.

I love it. The interface is just perfect and the attention to detail is astounding. Possibly the most beautiful game I've ever played.

Dead Island finally finished last night and jumped straight into Elite after that **** show was finally over and done with.

Looks like I may be in for the long haul with this one so will probably alternate with either Tomb Raider or Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

Getting through Battlefleet Gothic: Armada at the moment. Put it on easy, as i found it extremely difficult on normal when i played it last time. Easy is pretty easy, but i'm ok with breezing through it and seeing some cool space battles. It's got some seriously satisfying ship ramming :D

Avernum 3 Ruined World. Love, love this game. Seriously guys step away from the usual AAA or indie game de jour and just revel in the simple turn based goodness that is available here. These are the games I love and know will never be discussed in this or any boards forum. What a pity.

I'm still playing Assetto Corsa with the wheel when the timing suits.
Today I also started Megaman III. I used save states to cheat on this one since I don't remember which weapons damage which boss. I've just finished all the normal bosses and as far as I recall it gets harder from here.
My backlog is so big and I don't go near it.

Playing quite a lot of Fortnite recently. Took me awhile to get into it but great craic when playing with friends.

Considering jumping back into some BF4. That was a great game.

Started Assassin's Creed Brotherhood last night. I need to work on the combat and find getting from one end of the city to the other a pain.

Kingdom Come: Deliverence and pretty much nothing else. Loving it so far, and definitely the best example of FPS melee combat i've come across.

Metro last Light Redux. It was praised for how good it looked when it was released but in all honesty, it's got some really terrible textures and a load of jank going on. Still fun and challenging.

Also, Tacoma. So far so good about an hour in. Walking/floating simulator ala Gone Home (but in space) but got a different dynamic where conversations take place in front of you and can fast forward and rewind them to find out more as people walk about the base.

Been going through Batman Arkham Knight, absolutely incredible game. Such a pity it was a **** show on launch, but it's an absolute masterpiece imo.

Also playing Civ5 I picked up in the steam sale, and surprisingly enjoying it. I'm not finding it difficult, it should be boring, but I can't seem to stop

I picked it up well after launch so ran like a dream for me.
Batman games are a staple of my library. I regularly go back for a visit. :D
Think I've completed Arkham Asylum 3 or 4 times.
Highly recommend you pick up the older ones if you haven't played them already.

That's CIV for you. Just one more turn....

Arkham Knight would've been much better if not for the over reliance on the batmobile

Been mostly playing WOW:Legion at the moment. trying to get a good bit of content complete. But for a change and the weather thats in it booted up The Long Dark. Only started but it looks great.

Is Arkham Knight sorted now? I wasn't a PC owner at the time of release so I didn't follow the news.

I had no issues with Arkham knight on PC. Great game. The Batmobile parts I thought were a big let down though.

Agreed. It looks glorious and was hitting 75fps constantly with VSync on and that's only because I'd set that manually. I can't say the same for many other games.

Yeah they patched it up eventually. I also played through with no problems, except the bat mobile :)

It's just... everywhere and it really wrecks the pacing of the game, IMO.

Some streamers I follow on Twitch have been playing Dungreed - it has been out on Steam for a few weeks and looks like it might scratch a Rogue Legacy itch for anyone who loved that game. Might pick it up tonight.

    A tenner on steam.

Playing through Get Even. Never heard of it before and saw it on CDKeys for £6.99.

It's a first person game about you trying to piece the clues together of an apparent kidnapping, a bombing and conspiracy/coverup...i think.

Quite a supernatural spin to it with reliving scenarios through dreams and pickup clues along the way.

Mostly a walking simulator type game with some first person mechanics. Shooting isn't great but story and acting are really good.
Sticking with it and seems to be paying off.

Playing Witcher 3 for the first time and loving it. I'm still quite early on (Lvl 10), just got to Oxenfurt to find Tamara.

For a bit of light relief I picked up Sonic Mania and it's fantastic.

Subnautica. A nice slow paced game. The visual pop in is sort of annoying but I can forgive it.
