The dochas centre is comparatively cushy.

Yeh with linda and charlotte to do your hair also. Very cushy indeed.

Seemingly she got out & about on many occasions apart from hospital visits. She did some courses off-site as well as studying in Maynooth.

Go way. I dont believe ye.

Yes and I'm fairly sure what they said was true but legally is that all you need, a few people to say you asked them to do it? Was there any comeback for them? Would they not also be guilty of conspiracy to murder, even if they didn't actually carry it out?

Well, the guys who testified turned her down as far as I know so I suppose that's where it began and where it ended for them. They wouldn't necessarily be following her actions after that. I don't know if they ever knew who pulled the trigger, I don't know enough about the case.

Spoke to her a few times in St. Luke's Beaumont when my mother was having treatment, she was always friendly and chatty in the waiting area. I knew she was a prisoner of some sorts because of the prison guard but only found out a few weeks later who she was when I seen a photo of her at the door of St. Luke's in the Sunday World.

Not really it's quite common to allow prisoners coming near the end of their sentence to get out to do courses or for a few hours especially if they were seen as well behaved. Even that vile piece of scum Myra Hindley enjoyed day trips away from prison.

I now wonder if her brain tumor had been dormant for a number of years, but I suppose that’s a conspiracy theory.

    Unlikely, it's twenty years ago.

No family visited her deathbed according to media reports. Hopefully her funeral will be a similar affair, into a furnace and off with her.

I would imagine no family attended at her own request. Her relatives didn’t murder anyone and don’t deserve to be plastered all over the red tops front pages for the titillation of the masses.

That's a mental image no one needs.

i am sorry to hear of her death RIP

I think people here are forgetting she was given a life sentence and she served 18 years in jail

Most people who get a "life sentence" for murder, the term is usually 7 years here in Ireland.

Dont forget she didnt kill him herself. and the person / s who did it were never brought to justice

She paved the way for other female murderers and was like a mother to the scissor sisters, God bless her.

If she didn't hire the killers to carry out the deed her husband would not have been killed. He lost his most precious possession his life, she just lost her freedom.
