Wadelei Park is a Dublin Bus destination. http://www.dublinbus.ie/Your-Journey1/Timetables/All-Timetables/1121/

Wadelei Park seems to be one of those nebulous, unmapped Dublin locations that only the locals can define. There is no street called Wadelei Park and it isn't on maps. There seems to be no signs.

So what roads are in Wadelei Park?

That's an interesting thread idea. Another contender would be the 150 terminating at Rossmore

The 11 goes around a residential loop once it turns off the Ballymun Road to end up on St. Pappin Rd.

It wouldn't surprise me if there was or used to be a green or park there of that name.

The wadelai park stop refers to the big green in the middle of the estate. The #11 terminus is about 50yds to the west, near Hillcrest

Some people seem to use it for a much wider area.

    Not outrageous: https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/486213456#map=16/53.2963/-6.3189

    … and 7 years later.

It seems that the name stems from a house / farm called Wadelai, located between what is now Wadelai Road and Saint Pappin Road. Presumably the estate might match the original farm boundaries.

From the Glasnevin Heritage Facebook page, quoting a book on local history:

    WADELAI'S TOWNLANDS.

The area called Wadelai is named after a farm that existed nearby in more recent times. Wadelai House is found on an early twentieth century map where it appears to lie within the boundaries of the adjoining townland of Ballygall (O.S. County Dublin 1938). In the 1911 census it is recorded as Ballygall, Drumcondra Rural. By comparison with the most recent O.S. map the present day Wadelai housing estate (including what is now St Canice's Road) lies across several of the townlands established by the 1830 commission, namely; Wad, Walnut Grove, Ballygall, and Claremont.

    - The upper portion of the development, taking in most of Wadelai and Clonmel Roads was built in the townland of Ballygall to the west, and that of Wad to the east. St Pappin's Green, Drapier, Stormanstown and Delville roads were also in Ballygall. Part of Maolbuille Rd, St Pappin's Rd, and Dean Swift (Road, etc) were built in the Walnut Grove townland. Parts of St Canice's Road are built on Ballygall, Claremont, and Walnut Grove.
