The 56k modem +slowly loading dancing baby gif - brings back memories. I was in my first year of work in 1996 when this is set though, not in school, so stranger things & ready player one is more the sweet spot for nostalgia for me. even so this looks like it might be interesting.

I thought it looked rubbish from the trailers but some of the reviews say that it sometimes swerves away from the 90's tropes that you'd expect and is actually very good when it does. Looks an easy enough watch too, like no conspiracy theories or hard to keep up with plots.

Really looking forward to this. I started secondary school in 1996 so think it will be right up my street.

Watched the first episode of Everything Sucks. Some of it felt like watching an actual 90's TV show. The main male character, Luke, is okay but his friends seem like they're straight out of 90's stereotype nerd storage. Heavy Dawson's Creek vibes off some of the conversations, and a few other scenes actually.
There's a bit of a "twist" with one of the main characters towards the end of the first episode that suggests they're not just doing a straight up 90s TV homage. I say "twist" but it's fairly obvious from the start.

Anyway, enough in it that I'd watch some more but nothing to shout about so far.

Oh and it's kind of scary how dated it all looks. I'm sure it's accurate for 1996 but it looks like another lifetime. Makes you feel old :(

They are quite short and based on the 1st episode they're going to have an amazing soundtrack.

No sign of any of the Monty Python stuff that was supposed to go up yesterday.

Shame if so, I was looking forward to it. :(

Does anyone know the situation with the US Office? Obviously it's not on Netflix anymore but I can never find it anywhere. Its never on any of the channels on sky either. Previously the odd episode used to be on 3e. That show has immense rewatchability. :( I'd love if Netflix made a big push to bring it back.

It looks like the UK didn't get Monty Python today either.

    Maybe wrong information?

Yeah, I'd start watching again as soon as it was added (hypothetically). I looked at just buying the boxset off Amazon last year, but a number of reviews complained about the audio quality.

Has that ever happened before? Can we expect it to turn up eventually?

    What are you on about

I'm enquiring as to whether anyone in this thread knew of the situation regarding the US Office coming back to Netflix UK & Ireland.
