Hi , I'm in the market for a small van atm and I'm wondering will I trade in my 98 corolla as part of the deal and get scrappage off a 181 or am I better to sell the corolla privately and get a 161 or newer ? I have 15500 in cash .
I'm looking at the ford transit connect as it has the 3 seats . any advice is welcome..

Will depend on the manufacture and what deals they are doing around scrappage. Weigh it up against being a cash customer and what straight deal discount they offer. A 98 Corolla is probably worth less than 1k privately so it might work could better to sell it privately and buy the van straight over availing a scrappage deal.

Citroen Berlingo and Peugeot Partner are 3 seaters too and they tend to do scrappage

no penalty points or claims !!
