Dope is actually pretty interesting, it's from the point of view of law enforcement, dealers and the addicts.

A Shot in the Dark started interesting, it's about stringers (the guys who chase news stories that would make for interesting video to sell to the news networks) in LA. Towards the end it starts go a bit soapy the way some of those 'reality' shows go.

Watched '42 Grams' the other evening.. about a husband and wife team who operated a restaurant out of their apartment in Chicago, then opened an actual restaurant. It deals with the food they serve, their struggling personal lives, large ego and perfectionist traits involved in being a top-end chef etc.

Don't read up anything about the restaurant in advance though... which has the same title as the documentary.

    Very good watch I thought!

Really enjoyed "Money Heist" about the perfect robbery (Not true story). In spanish, so it's sub titles. I wouldn't let it put you off.

Watched Ride Along 2 and surprisingly it wasn't that bad.

    Finished unabomber.

God Sam Worthington is an uneven actor.

Biggest problem with the the show is that I end up with more sympathy for the bomber than the fitzgerald character.

    Full documentary is on YouTube.

    Thanks for that.

Just watched Dear Zachary. I'm emotionally exhausted after it. Kate and David are inspirational people.

Really liked ‘Dear Zachery’, heart wrenching stuff.

Started to watch ‘Dope’, brain candy.

    No problem.

It's a very hard watch alright. The system failed them big time.

Watched Respectable The Mary Millington story tonight about Britians most famous pornographic actress during the 70s, probably the most well spoken porn star Ive seen lol. Tells more about the industry around that time in Britian as well which I found interesting...Doesn't leave all that much to the imagination mind you.

That was the aspect I enjoyed most about the series, the gnawing realisation as the series progresses that you care more for the twisted bomber than the boring lawman.

I binged watched Fauda over the last week, thought it was excellent. 12 episodes of around 40 mins each. The main actor who co-wrote the series served in Israel's undercover unit in Palestine, so it has an authentic feel.

Took your recommendation on this and was not disappointed! Highly enjoyable I must say. As you said though the less you know about the film before going in the better, if you googled it beforehand it'd definitely take away from the film

Not a recommendation, just a Netflix question.

Anyone know why only half of the last series of Mad Men is available?

Final “season” was split into two seasons and aired a year apart. The second of these two final seasons just Isn’t available on Netflix yet but should pop up eventually.

If you know anyone with a Sky account, you can watch the last series on Sky Go online.

    I don't.

Just wondering about how Netflix hasn't got the 2nd half?

Another great episode of Letterman with Clooney.

A pity there are only 6 episodes to this series and hopefully they can get Letterman to do more.

I would to see Clooney's wife being interviewed see seems a really really cool woman.

Licensing. There was a big delay between the 1st and 2nd half of last season. Think someone said earlier that Sky have the rights to those episodes until next year or the year after.

I see Universal have flogged a sci-fi film to Netflix.
What were people saying about Netflix becoming a dumping ground for bad movies?

Relative to the amount of no-name junk that routinely crops up on Netflix, 2 films within a week is nothing. The only notable thing here is studios being risk averse even with the sorts of projects that used to be made on leaner budgets specifically so that they wouldn't take a bath on them if they underperformed.

But of course that doesn't drive clicks, so that's not going to be how any popculture site frames it...

But the difference here is that these films had release dates. It's not just independent junk, that normally pops up i.e. ARQ, Spectral, etc. These are big studios with moderately expensive films, and with relatively big name actors, that are being offloaded to Netflix to save on promotion and distribution costs, because, when it comes down to it, the studio knows the end product is not up to standard.

It's more than just clickbate, it's an interesting insight into how the industry is changing.
