seems to be an explosion of ex-passes gone out. Just got one for 11th in Cork 1-1.45, seems to be a lot of others getting them all over aswell. All for the same time, and none really that fit the normal criteria for the ex-raid (i.e. nest or park in osm etc etc)

Wonder if its for mewtwo's birthday today ?

I’m gong to assume No will be the answer. So many issues with the systems Ce it’s introduction.

Same date and time for both near me. Reports now of people getting passes who never raided, but did spin, gyms. Looks like they relaxed the rules for mewtwo's birthday

We've had a few players get passes for Galway that can't make it to there for one reason or another, so we're trying to figure out a sort of temporary sharing account system to let people try and get in on the action.

be careful.
there was the episode of the group from Madrid where 1 player had all of his mons transferred by another player.

I got one for Wicklow.

Got an invite for a gym in Celbridge we targeted. Some people who have never raided there got an invite.
Delighted though, can finally clear out all that rare candy I'd been hoarding.

Getting to understanding the frustration of the Ex Raid system , 2 new locations in Cork/Carrigaline yesterday evening , I have done a couple of raids at one and am gold , other silver and multiple spins , no pass for either , a number of people got the Carrigaline one off an old single spin , adding to the frustration is that a number of people already had one for tomorrow at the Arche too , so have 2 ex raids in 4 days coming up.
Although plenty of people have gotten one for different county/country , that is possibly more frustrating !

Yeah, plenty of posts on reddit about people getting them from the one spin they did on a gym on holidays.

I wonder was this just a once off or will it continue like this. Surely if more random gyms (or the S2 cell criteria have changed), the odds will eventually stack in your favour ?

Once they dont replace Mewtwo with another Pokemon then it is a matter of patience I guess , but at least it has highlighted 2 more gyms that hit the criteria , but obviously their formula anything related to overall activity at gym or previous passes required , seems to me just to be a random selection of trainers from a qualifying group.

Hopefully we'll know more when the next ex-raid invites come out, or when niantic actually tell us something.

At least with the original system, it was relatively easy enough to identify gyms and you knew you had to raid there. If this is a new system, then it actually could be harder. Looking at the regioncover site and the size of the S2 cells, lvl 10's are much bigger than the lvl 12's.

Plenty of people got invites who only spun a gym! In Cork upto now everyone knew 'the arche' was the place to go to.

Similiar in belfast. in the city center Nav Bouys was the place to go, i raided there 4 time this week and the volume was huge each time. City Hall's two gyms are also in a park but never have hosted an ex raid.

Looking at the level 10 split of belfast, the cell that includes the city centre hasn't received one Ex Raid this time around yet it is the area that will generate the most gameplay with people from other towns coming in to play.

I need to spend my rare candies.

Got my first Ex pass aswell, 15.00 Sunday

I was wondering if they’re doing an Ex Mewtwo free for all before they change to a new Ex raid boss? (Mew or Celebi). I can imagine if they changed the Ex boss before most people got a shot at Mewtwo that Niantic would have an even unhappier fan base.

Nah, most of the Galway players are sound, and wouldn't be that dickish. The one player there that I absolutely wouldn't trust got a raid pass for a completely different gym, so we don't have to worry about him.

Regardless, I'm travelling up myself.

Poor enough from Niantic to have a bug of that scale in fairness.
I dont think it sounds like they send out too many invites , just to the wrong people , I have visions initially of 100 people at a gym.
At least there is a also a big more clarity enough based on trainers participating in raids in the week before Raid pass issues , i think there is some research already out there indicating where the issue dates are.

This was my first assumption but based solely on the fact that they said it would be in raids, I thought it would be in early as raids finish about 7:30pm here.

Last couple of times its been 9pm our time. West coast in US will see them today, tomorrow for us.

Just hoping the gen3 only spawns will be nice to us and not tons of spheals & nosepasses.

It's Robert Emmet, which I've been told has had EX raids before. I last raided there on Saturday, was part of a big group that did Kyogre.

New shadows. quick trip to my local spawn point, taillow, castform & beldum to the dex.

still seeing a lot of spheal, nosepass and electrike. Mr Mime's still around too, seems the regionals are not included, good move by niantic.
