I'd say P!nk will be an 2019 at this rate, maybe Croke Park or the Aviva in the summer

Have a feeling 2morrows announcement will be Justin Timberlake playing here this summer

He's doing the superbowl half time show and be perfect timing to announce a world tour??

Big ask for him to sell out the Aviva ,I dont think he is anywhere near popular enough.
    I'd expect an indoor tour.

His ticket prices in the US for his arena tour are astronomical.

How did his Pheonix Park show sell? If this performance is a big success the demand will go up

Very poorly attended, he'd probably sell out a night in the 3 arena, 2 at a push. Even the RDS would be a tough sell I reckon.

Superbowl ht shows are mostly always a success and get people all over the world talking. It's an awesome experience I'd imagine

It's a good ploy to announce a tour after it while your trending

The Stones tickets are usually really really expensive and they use dynamic ticket pricing ,very few of their gigs sell out quickly ,as that is not what they want.

A system like that would need a long lead in to sell out Croke Park or else there will be alot of unsold tickets.
Maybe they are going to have lower ticket prices in Ireland but having the gig on a Thursday night isnt going to help either.

ive heard that and we all knw us irish love to complain about prices

Anyway ill go in heartbeat for a stones irish show as there legends and there music is timeless.

Would the Aviva be better for this type of show as its a smaller stadium ???

Who's the support act? It was James Taylor in America? Is he coming along as well?

also add to the rumours of Bruce Springsteen returning in 2018

of course theres rumours of himself returning after the 2014 disaster. I wish he would come here in 2018 and play so we can put the 2014 debacile too bed

2017 has been a very very good year for concerts in Ireland so 2018 has a lot to live up too

we cant forget the annual Coronas, Natan Carter and Christy Moore shows in the Marquee in Cork in 2018

2014 disaster why what happened in 2014 ??

    I'll give ya a hint

He has friends in low places

That "friend" being Peter Aiken, absolute deceitful scumbag, taking the Irish public for complete morons, unforgivable. But at least he drew the line at dragging his dead mother into his lies. Still find it bizarre how anybody could stoop so utterly low... Vile piece of work.

Unlikely, he's playing arenas and his rumoured stage setup appears to be too big for the 3Arena (not the first time such a situation has occurred.

    MCD.ie
KRIS KRISTOFFERSON CONFIRMED FOR CASTLEBAR, DERRY, BELFAST & DUBLIN SHOWS.
Country music icon Kris Kristofferson makes a hugely welcome return to Ireland for four solo acoustic shows this June. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 9am from Ticketmaster.

    24 June Royal Theatre Castlebar

    25 June Millennium Forum, Derry

    26 June Waterfront Hall, Belfast

    28 June Olympia Theatre, Dublin

Heralded as an artist’s artist, the three-time GRAMMY winner has recorded 30 albums, including three with pals Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings as part of the Highwaymen. Kristofferson has spent three decades performing concerts all over the world, in most recent years in a solo acoustic setting, which puts the focus on the songs. “There’s an honesty in the sparseness. It feels like direct communication to the listener,” he says. “I still have more fun when I’m with the band, but being alone is freer, somehow. It’s like being an old blues guy, just completely stripped away.”

Kristofferson achieved remarkable success as a country songwriter at the start of the 1970s. His songs “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Help Me Make It Through the Night,” “Sunday Morning Coming Down,” and “For the Good Times,” all chart-topping hits, helped redefine country songwriting. By 1987, it was estimated that more than 450 artists had recorded Kristofferson’s compositions. His renown as a songwriter triggered Kristofferson’s successful career as a performer and that, in turn, brought him to the attention of Hollywood, leading to his flourishing career as a film actor. Kristofferson has acted in more than 70 films. In 1977 He won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in “A Star Is Born.” He’s appeared in cult favorites including the “Blade” trilogy, “Lone Star,” “A Soldier’s Daughter Never Cries,” “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore,” “Blume In Love,” “Cisco Pike,” and “Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.” Recent films include “Fast Food Nation,” “Dreamer: Inspired By A True Story,” “The Jacket,” “Silver City,” “He’s Just Not That In To You,” and “Dolphin Tale.”

Many would have hung their hat by now. Instead, Kristofferson barely has paused for breath. He’s released several recent high watermarks including the increasingly intimate A Moment of Forever (1995), The Austin Sessions (1999) and This Old Road (2006), and he produced some of his finest work with the deeply personal Closer to the Bone (2009) and Feeling Mortal (2013). Kristofferson has reached living legend status, but that hasn’t changed or hindered his creativity. His current CD, The Cedar Creek Sessions, was recorded live at Austin’s Cedar Creek Recording Studio in June 2014. Released in time for Kristofferson’s 80th birthday in 2016, the double-CD set is a snapshot of the legendary songwriter in the twilight of his life.
