Whoever is running the feed is effing useless. Unless they're trying to subliminally say something about Cian Healy.

In fairness they didn't ask about the trial. They asked if Best had permission to be there. Fair question for the week that it is

Fair enough that Joe doesn't want to comment oo

This is probably the worst kept secret of a line up in my memory.

Good team. Think Toner either starts or is out of the 23 but aside from that, I don't think I'd have gone any different. I could see Porter getting a shot at the 18 jersey later in the tournament but it's probably a little early for a guy who has recently switched sides to be playing in Paris in the 6N opener against a very strong front 5.

When Joe says "He is really looking forward to seeing the Messiah play" you know he means it - a real rugby fan in the end.

Hint: He didn't actually call him the Messiah

    What's the injury?

    Good team.

That injury is a sickener for Conway. By the looks of things Larmour could get an opportunity further into the championship so Conway may struggle to get back in.

Knee strain of some kind. Joe didn't go further than that.

It looks like the gallery was asked not to raise questions about the trial and hence the first question started with 'not about the trial... but what do you think about [this aspect] of the trial'.

Sure way to not get credentials for future Irish Rugby pressers.

    Ferg's goal kicking referenced.

Joe queried about Sexton being targeted and somewhat dismissed the concern, said it's not a part of the game for teams Jacques coaches. Lot can be read into his comments there both about France and about the ref the last day in Paris.

Joe referenced Montpellier performance in relation to selection of James Ryan.

Earls spoke well, said he's enjoying his rugby. Said Paulie told him not to worry about the game, just enjoy the rugby.

Bad news for him. He was pushing for a spot in the starting team and had that 23 jersey sewn up at the moment but if someone else gets in there and goes well, he could find it difficult to shift them.

Reading between the lines, Larmour will be involved against Italy which will be a big opportunity for him to show what he can do.

I hope it's not with Kearney and McFadden, in order to protect him. I'd like to see him with Stockdale and Earls and absolutely tear Italy to shreds, pts difference could be a big thing in the end.

Why on earth would McFadden be picked ahead of Earls? That won't happen.

I'm confident of a result in France

It was right to be asked
I was sickened to see our captain attend

The matter has absolutely zero to do with the game at hand or the 23 players named.

It was a ridiculous question to ask. He might as well have asked what they thought of the Blood Moon last night

    I don’t think he’s ever played 8 for France

Agree completely on Toner, he starts or sits in the stands.
