That opening segment is why I love stone cold above all. Killed me with his expressions alone. No need for a promo.

The rest of the show was not great. The Undertaker segment was bizarre.

Well as with most Raws over time, Austins segment by far the best part of it and he didnt even have to say a word, i just love that pop when the glass shatters, i'd say Vince was screaming steve "we're pg, pg damn it", when he was standing on the ropes, Vince brilliant as usual to, "i dont blame you, he had it coming" to shanes stunner, then pouring his beer over him, lol, but then it fell of a cliff.

I said a couple of months ago that matt would be back in the mid card within 6 months, i want to accelerate that prediction.

Undertaker walking out without dimming the lights was terrible, and DX just look flat out ridiculous now.

And then we end up with Strowman looking unstoppable until he gets to the ppv

Glad I decided to sleep rather than watch that. The Stone Cold bit would have been good but the rest of it sounds terrible and entirely predictable.

Man, they pretty much shoehorned everyone into a pointless segment and did nothing to get people excited about Royal Rumble since it was also go-home show.

AJ loving the Mean Gene segment living a childhood dream right there the smile on his face.

Lol at Shawn trying to hide the receding hairline and top bald spot with the thinning hair and head band.

I turned it on and that was the first thing I saw. Should have gone for the auld DX cowboy/hunting hat.

When you thought they couldn't feck it up and then that happens last night
    Really disappointed

The Austin segment was the highlight. Where was The Rock though? I was sure he was going to interrupt Elias but instead we get bloody Cena? You'd think The Rock would've at least done a promo via satellite. I know he's the biggest movie star on the planet these days but I would've thought he'd have pencilled it into his schedule ages ago to avoid conflicts.

Horrendous. Fúcking, utterly horrendous. They should be fúcking ashamed of themselves. But they won't be.

Stone Cold. Brilliant. Exactly what it should have been. Vince played his part brilliantly. Austin didn't say thing. Simple, effective pro wrestling. How it should be done.

Asuka looked strong too. So far and above the rest of the women.

Everything else was a fúcking dumpster fire.

From wedging everyone into stupid segments (like in Angle's office), to Undertaker doing a ridiculous, nonsensical, confusing promo for no good reason, to DX being utterly shand unbelievable, it was just horrific.

Never mind that fact that they barely did a thing to push the Rumble. I mean, why the fúck am I supposed to care? This match used to be something we could get excited about, because it meant something. Nope. We'll just tell everyone that there's a Rumble, and we'll make it up later. Fúck off. Just fúck off.

This should've been the easiest episode of Raw to ever book. And they threw it down the toilet.

Actually, on second thought, it was the perfect tribute to RAW. Pretty much every episode of the Attitude Era was fúcking diabolical apart from the segments with Vince, Stone Cold and The Rock.

Saddest part of the show was when Austin got in the ring, there was kids in the front row who looked like they hadnt a clue who he was, their parents are a disgrace :)

Any reason they couldn't of had this show last week and a proper go home show for the Rumble this week? Maybe scheduling issues? All in all it was pretty dissapointing.

Well seeing as the 25th anniversary of Raw was actually on the 11th of January, they’ve no excuse for not putting it on last week instead. They’re idiots. When you have a milestone episode like that coming up, you fcuking secure that date a year in advance if you have to.

Austin and Torrie were the only highlights.

I would include Miz but that just means Poochie wins on Sunday so fúck that.

Ah come on now. I'm annoyed as anyone about last night but that's a ridiculous statement to make especially with 2000 classed as part of the Attitude era.

    jesus that was awful

It is hyperbole, I'll admit, but so many of those shows were terrible apart from about half an hour.

I'm well aware Jericho, Benoit and Angle are all in there, but the shows aren't as good as we like to remember. We only remember the peaks of those shows.

If Reigns is gonna win the Rumble and think im glad i wont be able to stay up to watch it :pac::pac:.

Hopefully that means a SD woman wins the other Rumble , Would love to see Becky win it since her a Charlotte have good chemistry friend vs friend with one going tweener or heel(prob charlotte) , Have Becky win and then have Carmella cash in her MITB briefcase ???

Was going to watch this tonight... Looks like I don't need to.
I probably won't bother with the rumble either.. Sounds a dull as dishwater....

I think its time I got off the train and put "Pro Wrasslin'" behind me.

Wow! Cocooned (meaning I went to bed! :pac:) myself last night to watch RAW today with no spoilers and just finished watching it and read the comments here.

I must be the only one who enjoyed it a lot. First time I really watched the whole show without buzzing it on in a while.

The only 2 things that were silly was having the 2 shows. Should have put everything together and the Underaker promo went nowhere. What was the point?

Other than that I liked everything. Though I didn't have to sit through constant ads which always breaks everything up.

Elias has been killing it recently and was just about to groan when Cena had him up for the AA but they finally did the right thing to make him look stronger.

Great to see all the old legends. I liked the show anyway but it seems to be just me.

Torrie and Kelly Kelly looked fantastic still.

Nearly shed a tear when Mean Gene was on!!

plenty of plastic and filler in there... never remember her lips being that plumped up...

I agree Torrie Wilson looks amazing for 42 but the reaction to Kelly Kelly I don't get? She's always been hot and is only 31 :P

Stone Cold has a few words for Mike Rome...

I think the most disappointing thing for me was just throwing Jericho into a random backstage skit.

After all the buzz and hype about AlphavsOmega, it seemed such a waste of momentum.
He only said on his podcast a few weeks back with Don Callis that when he returns to WWE they would see him in a different light and he would be main event again possibly. But obviously not

Austin makes a lot of good points.

That interview was better than most of the show

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,674 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

That interview was better than most of the show

and it wasn't even in his top 100 promos.
