It's a bit unfair to compare the tweens to people who have real life experience. We were all a bit silly and 'products of our time' at one stage or another, then stuff happened to us and we grew up. It'll happen to the tweens too, and they'll become more well rounded and have more of an understanding of emotional depth as a result.
Watching some of the younger daters is a bit of a cringefest, yes, but it provides balance.
I really felt for the woman last night who lost her partner and their unborn child - she showed such emotional strength and honesty by explaining her situation so articulately to her date, and he came up in my estimation by how he responded to her baring her soul. They looked like a couple who could go the distance, and if not, it must have felt like a very positive foray back into the dating world for her.
I was really surprised that the German guy wasn't into the Longford lady! They seemed to be getting along so well and have a bit of a spark. Ah well!

Got a lot of laughs from the steriotypical takes everything too literal German dude. Surprised he wasn't into your one though. She'd have been the only one from the first two weeks that I'd have been interested in.

Bar the young, dum and full of pickle pair I enjoyed the show this week. I smiled a lot watching it, loved the northern woman and mayo man and the culchie and the nurse. Shes a lovely person and I really hope she finds happiness.

Didn't catch that, was he the one who was a stripper and didn't drink? If it is him he was the most normal of them all.

No he was the one without the muscles who was trying to be a stripper. You're thinking of Jay.

Is this on the RTE player yet? I had a look and couldn't see it. My mother messaged me today to tell me a former flatmate was on it - from looking at the comments here, I suspect he might have been the one characterized as "culchie"!

Go to the A-Z and look under F. It's there alright, I watched it last night.

Just watching this week's now...jesus what is with the painful self obsessed narcissistic young gay men zzz.

honestly if I was a gay man Id be doing my nut, they're very poorly represented to be honest. it's like they look for actual caricatures, check out the big masculine looking lesbian couple on next weeks, it's shocking....or is it it art reflecting life...now in saying that, any self respecting person worth their salt would run a mile from the show in fairness...even if you're 100% sound, who wants to be told eeehhhhh not for me by some mutant, on national TV.... eh you spewke to the waitress too much, and you laughed at harry PODDER!!!!

I am and I am! lol.
I suppose thats it a lot of the people who will go onto a show like this are the show off self confident types, that was the worst excuse I have ever heard for not going on a second date, at least have the balls to just say you arent interested.
Also if you arent interested dont insist on the other person saying whether they would like to go on a second date or not first.....total d#ck move!

The most brutal one I thought was the gay couple in the UK version, this guy mid meal just said I just dont fancy you (I wouldnt mind but the guy who said it looked literally like an overweight toad who smoked like a train) and pretty much ended the date there and then, the other guy was lovely and actually pretty handsome (and ended up with HOT guy on another date).
    Video here

not to hijack a thread but I sometimes think naive young folks think they have to or it's cool to, act in a certain manner so as to get attention/more vlogs/ more likes etc..because they're on TV and want to be remembered, because being recognisable even for just being a wanker, is better than being average.. it's sad but it's a sign of the times. unfortunately there may be a person on the other side of your table who doesn't like how your treating them, so yes...you will be recognised but not in a good way...will they give a fook I wonder!!!

That guy and the new guy he went on a date with apparently got engaged a few weeks ago. I was delighted to that it worked out for him.

Surprised the German guy didn't want to date the psychologist girl. They were getting on really well. I suppose we should admire his directness though at the end, saying he wasn't interested in her romantically but without being rude in any way.

Just saw them on the repeat here and we were convinced they clicked

Bit of a joke that tallafornia is on it. He’s probably getting paid. They really must be getting desperate for daters. It’s much better if the people are genuine instead of “pro Z listers”.

    "girl"... :pac:

This is very pass remarkable, but surely you'd have to be a bit fitter to be a personal trainer? He has absolutely no biceps... and that shirt isn't covering the paunch.

EDIT: Jaysus... he's still playing to the cameras.

    EDIT 2: ... man's a cretin.
