So i've decided its time to change but can't make up my mind. I currently drive a 2008 Skoda Octavia VRS and it hasn't put a foot wrong in the 5 or 6 year i have had it. But I'm mad for something new and want a bit more comfort. If i don't put away the laptop looking at cars my wife will want a divorce :-)

I always loved the look of the Audi and but have had a few BMW's. My last BMW E46 turned me off BMW a bit with a lot of niggley issues.

Currently have one kid and one on the way so needs to be 4 door. Also travel 100KM round trip each day so i would prefer a diesel. Nothing electric takes my fancy yet. Would have waited for a Model 3 but they are taking too long. I like something sporty looking.

So i narrowed down the search to the following you might not agree:

2015 Audi A6 Black Edition 190BHP Ultra Auto
    2015 Jag XF R-Sport Black Edition 200BHP
    2015 520D M-Sport

Then i looked a bit more and can get something like a 2013 Audi A7 s-line or BMW 640D m-sport for about the same price but would i be mad. Would servicing and general maintenance as well as insurance exponentially more I'm 36 with 4 years claim free no points? Would it be worth it :p

    Any opinions or other ideas?

Running cost will inherently be a bit higher but not light years apart. An A7 Quattro or 640d would be a good bit nicer than a A6 or 5 Series though they share many things in common. Mercedes CLS 350 CDI AMG is worth a look at too.
