When push comes to shove, do we really give a flying hairy rats arse?

    Well I don't. Why would I?

They are all caricatures of themselves.

Latest news trend is that Oprah might run for POTUS 2020.
Well she won't run, most likely get bused around the place.

I find that not looking, reading about, or listening to anything to do with so called Celebrities, and their hypocritical demands from all of us to do this and that to save the planet saves me a bit. It comes across as absolutely nauseating and self publicising. There are exceptions to that, but they are few and far between.

Harvey Weinstein will never see a poor day in his life forever more. Feck him. I doubt he cares either.

But leave them at it. I don't watch them nor listen to them.

As someone else said, the tipping point is here.

    Just a huge circle jerk.

The likes of Trump and Weinstein have very little in common with most white men just as Oprah has very little in common with most women

Definitely, between 'never off a plane/model' Dicaprio, and Clooney's impossible to recycle coffee pods, they can go slap themselves. No wonder Mel Gibson went crazy a few years ago over in Tinseltown.

Kirk Douglas given a standing ovation?

Jesus Christ, surely that's a bit creepy given the stories about his past.

Yer one, Meryl Streep, is some sickener.

I'm sure all the rapists are shaking in their boots because Reese Witherspoon wore a black satin D&G dress

She gave a standing ovation for Roman Polanski a man who raped a 13 year old girl. Typical Hollywood hypocrisy.

The word empowerment will be the biggest buzz word this year. It’s an advertisers’ dream. It will sell breakfast cereals, technology, cars etc. and people will buy into it. We really have come far as a species.

    I'm sorry, but seriously?

You really showed the sexual predators in Hollywood what for.

How about you didn't show up at all one of the premium Hollywood events.
That would have really sent shockwaves through the industry.

But no, you had to show up and look all pretty for the cameras, as usual.

Don't be surprised, it's pure virtue signaling bs.
Look at Meryl Streep the f*cking hypocrite, standing by women that are victims of sexual harrasment while giving a standing ovation to child rapist Roman Polanski - knowing what he did too.

Apparently next year only women are allowed to attend the golden globes

Those Hollywood celebs would make you get the nearest bucket and puke into it. Hypocrites to the core.

I agree with most of the sentiments on this thread but really I think it's a positive thing overall.

Oh, and don't men usually were black at these occasions anyway.

It's a little like a black tie wedding they'll be some woman with he tan two piece out and ready and then she'll get the invitation saying she has to wear black!

    Just lol
It wasn't that great at all. And running for president potentially? These celebs really adore themselves

I can't see how swapping a businessman celebrity president for a businesswoman celebrity president would be of any value. She's not a politician and I think she's not in any way qualified to run a county, least of all the most powerful and influential one in the world.

If we are talking about equality then I can't see how electing a billionaire - black - female, or not, would do anything to further that cause.

The Golden Globes are little more than a dress rehearsal for the Oscars, at which the will be back in their full peacock regalia, because #meetoo solidarity doesn't quite stretch as far as passing up their prime self marketing event of the year.

Keep it up Hollywood! You couldn't look more out of touch.

If oprah became president after trump the entire presidency would just become a running joke

Google image searching ‘Oprah Weinstein’ gives some interesting results.

    The absolute hypocrisy of Hollywood

I hope the Trump presidency doesn't set a precedent that 'anyone' can become president or any kind of politician. The ironic thing is is that if Oprah did become president she would have Trump to thank for it.

How many shlebs practiced the various faces needed for the night in the mirror in the days beforehand? Worthy solemnity face, concerned citizen face, "You go girl" face, tearful face etc.

Awards ceremonies have always been empty, back-slapping farces. In passing, I hoped that this scandal might bring an actual change but, nope, business as usual.

Diane Keaton once said that almost without exception, actors and actress are self-absorbed, show-offy people. It goes with the territory. We need to remember that. It's never going to change. Receiving kudos must be like a drug. These people want to keep experiencing that.

How about a Father Ted Golden Cleric speech listing all the women whose careers blossomed under the evil regime.
We heard about the sufferers. Lets hear about the winners.

So they should hide away, and allow those who participate in the control as a power-play to win? Seriously?

Just watched coverage of the Globes on the news there and I cant believe how self important these millionaire actors wearing black seem.
Let's stick it to the fukin men and when Oprah gets up with her "A change is gonna come" speech, the millionaire actors are crying and standing up, quite aware that the cameras are under their nose, and applauding REALLY HARD, while fighting back the tears.
    Stuff & nonsense

    She’ll be president after trump.
