    Ml. McDowell left wing....no way.

Heard McDowell is sniffing around the hindquarters of FG like an Alsatian in heat, with a view to see if he can get a run at the Dáil in the next election.

Anyone else fed up the same anti brexit agenda from all these talking heads on RTE? They need to accept the fact that the brits voted to leave and get over it'

No kiddin! As long as he doesn't mount the animal and drive the hammer in.

Those cretins from the ESB are very quiet these days, good job I'm getting the State subsidy, otherwise it would be bed a 1830 to conserve heat.

The continuity person said "Now over to Marion for her last show of 2017". I thought she was gonna make a mistake and say "Now over to Marion for one of her first shows of 2017".

Usual bunch of ould pals. No doubt at least a half hour for an Anti Trump rant from Gina London.

    Credit where credit is due...

In my opinion, the standard of the debate this morning is high.

I hate the Daily Mail, but their Irish editor is amongst the best of the contributors.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,022 ✭✭✭anthonyjmaher

Oh my god, do we really have to have another explanation/justficiation from the liberals about why Trump was elected? Move on ffs

    stupid white girls apparently.

never mind the REAMS of stats showing otherwise.

    gina has spoken.

that said it was a great laugh to have seth put it up to her, she gets away scott free on pat kenny.

you can practically SEE her ragin.

    :)

But when did it become okay to blame "uneducated people" for everything. This would never be allowed in any other context. Could you imagine the outrage in the media if Trump had said that it was "uneducated people" who voted for Hilary? Are the media suggesting that those "uneducated people" should not have a democratic vote, unless they vote for the candidate that the media prefers?

While technically it may be right to use the term (relatively) uneducated, the clear inference is that they are by necessity less intelligent and inferior which is why it rankles.

That daily mail guy seems a bit of a microphone hogger to me, was a bit wearied out by him by the end.

Only heard snippets of today’s show. My Dad gets the Sunday Indo every week (I wouldn’t buy it myself as it’s trashy). Anyway, I like Gina’s articles. What was she like on the show today?

yeah but my point is Joe, that it would never be allowed to say "Most of the people who vote for Sinn Fein are uneducated". This would not be acceptable and would be challenged by the presenter. But as long as you don't speak in favour of Trump, then everything is fair game.

Absolutely, I was agreeing with you. Just saying that what they are talking about is people without college degrees but equating that to intelligence only goes so far when you consider that most of the successful entrepreneurs in the US never went to college while the old boy networks from Yale and Harvard repeatedly drove the country into the ground.

I liked the way Gina described herself as an “authentic” traveler as opposed to all the “uneducated” ones she has to endure on her frequent forays abroad.

David Horgan of Petrel Resources has been on twice in the past two months (November 12th and December 31st), as well as appearing on August 6th.

    Why?

If the answer is because Marian wants to have people from the private sector, why not spread it around? Why does this guy keep getting on?

Maybe Marian has shares in the company and needs to keep the profile of the company up to get the stock price up. Cellars of merlot are expensive things to keep

The media didn't believe a word that Bannon said until he turned on Trump. Now they are treating his book as if it's the bible. They just twist the news stories to suit their own agenda.

this Wolff book/ fiction about Trump is manna from heaven for the chattering morons in Marion's coterie, Wolff has great pedigree/ plausability as a regular contributor to the hollywood reporter and GQ Magazine and USA today......mmmmmm!, yet the dopes around the table have lapped it up.

Trumpmania on Marian right now. He has just been called a tyrant. (Mind you by the Irish Times so it doesn't count as it is a publication not know for its objectivity) Sad but true.

Straight into Trump. Another stressful week of preparation and research. This is beyond a joke at this stage. Hang your head in shame RTfcukinE.

There is excitement in the voices of the panel as they predict war and impeachment and the imminent arrival of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Marian is actually doing her job in raining on their parade by introducing a reality check. (To no avail)
