Hi, we live in an old Victorian house and have woodworm under the stairs and understairs toilet. What is the best course of action? Should we take it on ourselves or get someone in for a quote? We have a dog and would like it done safely but if possible affordably. Would anyone have a recommendation of anyone or how?

First off how do you know it’s woodworm? Have you exit holes in wood? Have you seen the wood worm beetle? They normally appear in April as that’s when they bore out and become active.

To be honest it’s a job for professional. Get quotes.

Here is one company in Dublin.

Not sure but your house insurance may cover it?

Do you see the little piles of dust underneath the holes?

    Woodworm killer + paint brush.
