Automate Mobile Data

    Hey,

I was hoping to use an NFC tag to turn off Wifi and turn on mobile data on my OP 5, unaware that this now requires the device to be rooted. I'm not willing to do that since a number of apps won't work on rooted devices.

Am I correct in thinking the only solution I have now is to use smart Wi-Fi Switcher option? This seems to work based on my tests, but I'm not sure of the battery impact as you have to leave mobile data on (it doesn't work if data is off).

Any other options available to me?

You could try automate. Very powerful tool for switching items on and off.

Yeah I tried that, the option is there to enable/disable mobile data but it fails to run as it requires a rooted device :(
