Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I should probably sell Daniels or Mariappa

Possibly WC to be played depending on results today and tomorrow.

    Hopefully:

    Kabasele -> Lascelles

Eriksen > Salah once I hear Salah is ok.

It's FA cup after this and then the fixtures start to slow down a bit so I'll probably wildcard this week or next.

Yeah there'll be a bit of a gap alright.

I'll see what shape my squads in and then will likely be looking at bringing in Salah.

I've three rotating defenders in Christensen, Gomez and Kenny - it would be helpful if one of them could nail down a place! If Salah isn't back and there's no other injury news I'll ship one of them

If Aguero doesn't produce a double digit score tomorrow I'm going to get rid and bring in Firmino or Rooney and use the funds to improve my defence. Possibly Otemendi or Stones and upgrading Naughton to just about anyone.

Rooney played midfield again today. Didn't get within an arses roar of the united box

Had just enough itb for Morata -> Aguero
& Alli -> Mahrez before price changes.

    Wait
Aguero could break and mahrez could get his move

Couldn't wait, have 0 itb after those moves, with Morata due a drop and Aguero a rise, had no room.
Be nice to see Mahrez at United 😀

Strange time to be getting rid of Augero with the Jesus injury, an Augero who is guarnateed to start every game is a must have imo, even more so than Kane.

City play 2 cup games now before their next league fixture against Liverpool.

It will be interesting to see who he rests.

You would think KDB, Sterling and Aguero would all be primed for a good rest.

Yeah, I was looking forward to getting rid of him after gw21 until Jesus and kdb got injured but I'm still going to push on with it... I'll have attacking cover in sterling and Sane.

Had a quick glance at this points thus far this season and he has only recorded double digits on 3 occasions and at his price, you need to be captaining him almost every week.

    Aguero vs Otemendi

Then there's the 3rd man city spot in my team. (I already have Sane and sterling) and Otemendi has 112 points (6.4m) vs Aguero 111 points for almost double the price 11.7m

I brought in Aguero for a hit after the Salah injury.

The key for me is that prior to this he has often been rotated - Otamendi would have played a lot more minutes (1,870 mins to Augero's 1,331 which is a difference of nearly six games).

In terms of the FPL bps system, they've both won 16 this season.

Until Jesus is back, I'm going to take a punt on him. The other part of my logic was that I prefer playing 4-3-3 to 3-5-2/4-4-2 and I'd rather have a 3rd striker I can trust rather than a 5th midfielder/4th defender.

    DCL to Murray
    Or
    Mariappa to Kelly
    Or
Quite possible I'll bank it as neither would start for me next week but my bench would be light

    Sexy

Brighton will surely sign a striker and with a palace defender Tompkins for .1 more would be a safer option I'd imagine as he was playing before the injuries.

    Vert to Alonso I think

Would love to bring in Alonso but can’t afford him:(.....would mean dumping a good midfielder or Striker to bring him in and would involve hits.....would say there are a lot of other people in the same situation.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,065 ✭✭✭MaxPower89

I may go Holding and Kelly in for Kenny and Hezagi...2FT. Holding playing could be gambly.

He is more valuable than a midfielder in his price range

Its funny how 4 weeks ago everybody said "this season Alonso is not the same as last season", but now hes a "must have" again. Thats the beauty of FPL.
    P.s. i dont own him

I bought him in GW 6 on my WC for 7.1m.

He dropped to 6.9 but I was committed so I wouldn’t sell him.

To be honest I don’t love owning him. Don’t know why but he’s just looks like a flake on the pitch and I’d love to free up some of that cash he cost me.

Think I’d rather run with a Burnley defender now and invest the 2.5m elsewhere but I’ll keep him until his nice run of fixtures fazes out or unless Conte brings in a left sided player this month.

If Andy Carroll nails down a first team spot then I will be bringing him in and playing him every week.

I loved owning him in the past and I really rate him but hopefully he’s going easy on the booze and can stay injury free for a few months.

I think West Ham have some great options so there might not be a guaranteed starter, up front, for the remainder of the season.

Hopefully one more rise for Alonso so I can sell for profit and happily say goodbye.

Carroll's been playing LW this season. At the start of the year it was Chicarito up top, then Antonio, now Arnoutovic.

FWIW, Chicarito and Sakho are gone in January, he's competing for a spot with Lanzini, Antonio and Ayew.

A lot of time before making these transfers, but I am looking at bringing in Lingard & Lukaku for Stoke at Home. I would have enough itb to then bring Aguero in for Lukaku the following week, or perhaps decide to wildcard.

When moyes came in his plan was to build the team around Carroll up top but then he got injured back now I don't see him being dropped as sakho is on the way out and he doesn't rate hernandez

The Free hit has changed my transfers. I already had Hazard and Aguero out for Alli and Kane before using the free hit chip.
Now I think I will leave hazard where he is but I can't afford Kane in one move (and not sure I want rid of Aguero anyway) so I'll probably do some tidying up by switching Shaquiri to Lingard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,299 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

I know we're a while off next GW now but as it stands, would Ricky > Lingard be a smart move?

I like Ricky, have owned him for quite a while now but he's so frustrating to own at times, goals/assists he should have had where as Lingard is in the form of his life

    0.2 cheaper too

have enough to do Masaku/Eriksen to Stones/Pogba for -4. Or might get Lingard instead of Pogba and upgrade DCL the week after

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,520 ✭✭✭✭dsmythy

Might drop my first DGW. Son to Gross maybe whose fixtures have turned. That would allow me to ditch Mee for Alonso to pair him with Azpi if I wanted. Might hold out to see if Chelsea are signing a left back this month though. Also need to see what comes of these yellow flags.

Does the -4's (hits) for this GW go away if I play my WC just say?

With triple Spurs for the dgw I'm definitely overdoing it going into their next 5 GWs so will move Dele on. Who for though?
    Have 1m itb.

Waiting for Salah to drop even though they have a tough fixture.

Also tempted by Mahrez, Lingard and Pogba.
    Thoughts?
