The 1.2 didn't come with a turbo, so I can only assume it's had the mechanicals from the 2015 ST transplanted too, which would have been 180bhp standard.

I would find it hard to believe that someone would do effectively a reshell and still get it serviced in a Ford dealer.

Remarkably, the tax band doesn't change on a post 08 car if you change the engine for a completely different one. It's a little known advantage of the new system.

I'd say it got a full subframe/engine swap from a cat B Fiesta ST.

I wonder is it still a 1.2 "on da book"

I don't know if this deserves to be here, but the claim of 240bhp from a 1.2 with just a filter/exhaust/intercooler/remap has me scratching my head. Is it actually possible that the power claim could be legit? Surely not?

But surely declaring that it has a different engine would result in the tax being paid based on the co2 of the donor engine?

    It's originally a 1.2 and has been just VRT as a 1.2

So someone put a 1.2 shell beside an ST and swapped EVERYTHING over including wiring looms for heated seats, clocks, interior, ECU door locks/keys etc... Brakes and everything else mechanical........

Isn't the key word from the ad - REPLICA?

I.e. it's still a 1.2 litre car made to look like the 240 BHP version. as in Fur coat no Knickers.

Nope... It is a 240bhp ST.

Well no. The Co2 isn't calculated on the engine itself, but on the particular specs of the car from the factory. Any deviation from standard engine should put the car on €2350 tax rate really.

10 year old Evo X FQ-300.... Pushing 90,000 miles. Yours for just €22,000! (This is a price drop btw!!!)

Love the line: Pics dont do the car justice... That's probably because the pictures are dreadful and so is the Ad

Nice car and all, I'm back in the market for an Evo X but this is about €7,000 overpriced.

You could get a similar car in from the UK, VRT paid and all for €15,000.

I think it's reasonable price, any examples of an FQ300 SST cleared for €15K ?

Co2 isn't just determined by the engine. The car plays a major part as well so having that engine fitted to another car will yield a different co2 output.

A unique TT for all the wrong reasons. Shame, it'd be one of the nicer ones for sale at the moment if it weren't for the mutilation.

What's with this "no cash, no drive" thing? So if someone wants to test drive this yoke they're supposed to show up with 22k in a tesco bag or something???

I’ve seen people selling cars and would only allow “test drives” with them (the current owner) driving the car and the potential buyers as passengers. There is no way I’d buy a car without test driving it.

I will say though that I can have some sympathy for people selling cars like that. I’m sure you really do get people turning up just to take the car for a tear.

It's probably a good excuse to tell someone to slide on. Seller should know when a legitimate buyer wants a test drive. I'm sure no bag of cash needed.

It's generally to stop timewasters, you get a lot of young lads who've no interest in buying the car showing up just to get the chance to drive one, then when they get back from rallying it around say they're not interested.

    SST FQ-300 with 63,000 miles: £12,750/€14351 + €983 VRT = €15334

    SST FQ-300 with 45,000 miles: £13990/€15747+ €983 VRT = €16730

    SST FQ-300 with 78,000 miles: £12,750/€14351 + €983 VRT = €15334

And that's only after a very quick google. If you were prepared to import for Japan you'd save even more.

Mind you, I'd be looking for a Manual rather than an SST.

    Your VRT is wrong

    Yup

They only have 2.0L Sport on the VRT website, No Evo X
Let me see if they have a IX, good comparison

    Edit:

Revenue website doesn't have a selectable option for any Evo's.

OMSP based on owners asking price:
Ad says he paid over 8k for VRT, doesn't say how long he has owned the car though.
At €22,000 34% is approx €7,480, given €22,000 is the OMSP of the car according to revenue. (It might be more or less, who knows)

So turns out the car is sensibly priced. However given the mileage, type of car it's going to be exceptionally difficult to sell in Ireland.
I took a massive hit when I sold me Evo V years back, was for sale for nearly a year before I luckily got €8.5K having only spent €15.5k on it 2.5 years previous to that.

Having done some research over the Xmas, I wouldn't bother me hole getting back into Evo's (or Focus RS, or Type R's, etc) Seem the UK market is demanding huge money for sports cars, this is turn is reflecting badly on the Irish market.

All Evos are gone off the VRT website, I've heard of anything from 3-10k for Evos from 5-9 so I wouldn't like to do a 10!
