AIB bank fees

Just got my quarterly bank fees statement - always an infuriating experience! Apart from the usual debit card/ATM transaction fees, I have separate charges for: Automated Debits Automated Credits Direct Debits What are these 3 things? Just got my quarterly bank fees statement - always an infuriating experience!

Apart from the usual debit card/ATM transaction fees, I have separate charges for:

Automated Debits
Automated Credits
Direct Debits

What are these 3 things? And what is the difference between 'automated debits' and 'direct debits'? I seem to have quite a few automated debits and credits and I'm not sure exactly what they are!
