I can relate, doesn't have to be moving country necessarily but big stuff, life events - TA when you dismiss it for weeks as nothing, then as it gets closer it's like " f*** this is happening".

Don't expect to love it straight away, it takes time to settle into a place. Sometimes more than a year. It's a big change but try to see it positively as a fresh start rather then being wrenched away from the bosom of your family.

I dreamt I went to the doctors for God knows what and was told I was having twins. I woke a few times and went back into the dream. All I could think was I was going to be 45 with twins and my eldest 25 next year. I am traumatised all day

Morons at airport security screenings.

The man in his mid-20s who was ahead of me put his suitcase through with all his toiletries inside it, despite the myriad of announcements and signs about having them in a separate clear bag. When the security guy pulled his case aside and started getting annoyed with him, the man (in the loosest possible sense of the word) actually proffered “my mam packed my case” as an excuse. What’s even worse is that it’s entirely possible she did pack his case for him and is responsible for creating such a pathetic creature.

Bought a raffle ticket for a hamper back in early December in my local pub. I hadn’t been in there since until tonight

Ordered my pint and enquired were the raffle results posted up on the wall somewhere

Was told by the barman not enough tickets were sold so the hamper would stay behind the bar until they sold more

It was advertised as a Christmas draw, bunch of chancers!!

15 minute queue on 23rd December. I get to next but one in line and only then does the woman in front of me open her bags up, ask the security woman for a plastic bag and put toiletries from several sources into it.

Then remembers her laptop. And tablet. And boots. And belt. And watch.

I'm afraid my loud "you had 10 minutes to get that ready. ****s SAKE!!!" was heard by her. And the security guy.
