Bedside trying to convince my 3 year old to go asleep.
Turkey is stuffed ham is cooked and the veg is prepped. Trifle (3) is made one gf one alcohol free and one dairy free. Lol
Little man is teething like mad and would only settle in my arms this morning. Like he knew I was leaving.
I had a buddy for the journey, another icu mam. She lives in Ballaghaderren in the hotel, she's from Syria originally and spent 18 months living in a tent in Greece before moving here 3 months ago with her husband and 3 children, the youngest was a month old a had surgery on her tummy the week before they moved. They got a diagnosis of downs 3 weeks after moving here, then she caught the same virus as Elliot and is now where we were. So I figured the last thing she'd need on Christmas eve was 2 busses with 2 big bags trying to get to her family for Christmas day, so we've become unlikely friends even though her english is better than my Arabic, thank God for Google translate! Lol. It's funny the journeys life can bring you on.

Happy Christmas guys! I'm on the phone all night chatting to da familleee about food and stuff. Currently finished eating a late dinner and listening to my neighbours partying. I'll be glad to get away from them for a while.

Just finished wrapping my 11 year old sons presents. Last one for me - he’s got us sussed
. Going to be a different Christmas next year, but then again the plan is to travel to New Zealand for the first time and celebrate it with the in laws on both our sides. Happy Christmas everyone. 0 -
