Ronan is an awful bore. He's a good looking man and an attractive companion for ladies, he could buy all the brandy in the pub.

No Ronan you have, as i've heard someone say recently, the personality of a speed bump. You're as bland as a mild, foggy day in December.

And how the fcuk do you think you'll die on Monday when you're still swanning around being your upper middle class self on the previous Thursday? Terminal illness doesn't work like that in the real world.

Unless he's planning on taking his life. He does fancy himself though.

Ah, but he has a nice few quid in the bank (anyone who can estimate that they can buy the pub out of brandy -the price of the stuff being what it is), is close to death and well, fairly easy to keep in place is a great catch for any woman! :D:P Only joking - not making light of terminal illness, but in this day and age in Ireland when the level of homelessness is rising, is there really anyone as realistic as Ronan around? People might have money - some people, that is - but they also have a lot of outgoings, loans, etc, so, unless they happen to be a multi-millionaire celeb, they'd hardly have that sort of money. Daft character, daft storyline. :)

I love Christmas and I'm enjoying it. One difference between this year and other years is we've never being as prepared as we are this year.

I normally love Christmas, and last year I was better organised than any other year -I think I had fifteen boxes of biscuits, all the presents, the drinks, a load of tins of sweets and the likes bought at this stage, and all of the decorating done.... This year I'm way behind and I can't muster the same enthusiasm..... Don't know why; probably down to the year I had....

Don't worry some years we were way behind. We were painting the living room on Christmas Eve night/Putting up the decorations in the early hours of Christmas morning. Good Luck with your day of shopping.
Hopefully you'll get out before the schools close at 12:30 Today!

Thanks! Oh, God; forgot about the school crowd - nothing worse than a hoard of them strolling languidly down the street towards you, or blocking your way in the supermarket, by basically doing nothing, just yapping to each other and making endless trips to the express checkouts buying a pack of crisps and a bar of chocolate/can of coke/fanta here and there when they could have done it all at once.... Then again, when I was a teenager, I suppose I was guilty of the same thing! One thing bugs me - why in God's name do they have to move like zombies in packs - they just amble along, yet there's some spritely seventy and eighty somethings who whizz about the place (my own grandma included) and manage to get in and out of the shops quick smart.

The kids weren't the worst today, CollyFlower; it was the queue jumpers. Some wagon with a trolley fit to bursting tried to insist she was there before me at the express checkout. I only had a jar of moisturiser. I channelled my inner Dr. Oakley (he's coming in useful) and told her calmly that it was ten items or less at the express checkout, and judging by the size of the bursting trollley, she was in the wrong place, that I WAS THERE FIRST, and that, as I had one item and she had a trolley full to the top, to get behind the queue at the main checkouts. She kept aruging and saying ''I was here first''. The woman ahead of me said - ''with all due respect, this girl was here first, you came in behind her.'' I reminded her again, and tried to look as menacing as possible that she had to get behind me, she did, but grumbled until I gave her a killer look. :D I hate those people, and still all the shopping isn't done; going back for more. BTW the girl at the checkout said - it is ten items or less, ''I'll just call someone down to one of the other checkouts'', but the b***h insisted on staying where she was. The girl behind the till burst out laughing and rolled her eyes and gave me a look as much as to say, ''f****ng bitch''.

I thought last nights episode was the best in a long time. I was laughing my head off at Oakley making himself deputy group facilitator and Emmet "Head of Security" for the group. Ronans double cross of Pete on the Christmas dinner invite was a hoot too.

The actor playing Oakley is doing a great job, must admit I love his evil looks.

    She's be good.
I was thinking of an actress called Gemma Craven she played Julia Brady in The Clinic and was in Father Ted. She's 67 now and I think she could play a sassy Kilkenny woman well.

Perhaps they think that we have enough hassle and stress of our own during Christmas week without our losing sleep (as we always do) over the trials and tribulations of the people of Carrigstown.

Anyway, may I wish all of you a very happy Christmas, and thank you all for the laughs you gave me during the year.

It will be all about Caoimhe and Damian as well as Tommy, Eoghan and Debbie this Christmas. It won't feel the same without Paul and Niamh starring in some disaster.
