Hey guys, thinking about getting a Skoda Fabia 151. For about 11000 from a dealership. Anyone have the car with any problems. Looking for long lasting 15k miles a year I'd do.

The 1.0 mpi - in both 60 and 75 ps versions (which really feel the same, the difference is above 5000 rpm) - is a dull yet solid offering. It will not blow the hat off - or anything else - but will keep one going for a penny. It warms up very fast and it is not unusual to see 5427713.gif even in city driving. Those engines are simple and I haven't heart anything going bad with them.

However the rest of the car is not the best... It might look solid when new, the interior ages very fast and fills with rattles. Noise dumping is horrible. There are also some design issues with water management.

Second generation Hyundai i20 1.25 84 ps will not only be more nippy, but also bigger. And will not consume much more fuel. I think they fixed the oxi-cat melting with the second gen too.

I rented a 1.0 75ps Fabia - and to be fair it was very economical.
    Very uncomfortable seats though.
