I've seen lots of clips with teddy bears and lasers and spaceships but it's just not my cup of tea.

Luxembourg sells petrol for 1.18 a litre! I instantly love that country.

I work in the general fuels industry and it always makes me sad how cheap a ton of the **** is and how expensive a litre at the pump is.

88 cent of the total pump price for a litre of petrol and 74 cent of the total per litre cost of diesel consists of taxes, including VAT and duty.

After tonight I have no doubt you could beat Mark Webster on your day. What a Worlds so far.

How can I make it so that when I create an event in a shared google calendar the other users get an alert?

On the main calendar screen on the left hand side. Click on my calendar and then settings. You can add and remove people here.

The Aldi salted caramel mince pies are probably more addictive than crack

I've added the person but she doesn't get a notification when I create an event (and never bothers looking at the calendar otherwise)

Have you invited them (edit the event on add their name on the right)?

Not specifically to the event, no. I don't actually want her to attend, just know that I will be.

Ok well if she opens the calendar she can see that you have that time slot booked if you've shared your calendar.

If that doesn't work you could try getting a new secretary?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,080 ✭✭✭Don Kiddick

You can set a reminder, it alerts you... but it won't alert other people...unless they open the calendar...and it seems getting her to open the calendar anyway is the issue

Looked into this about 6 months ago and it wasn't possible.

**** it, I'll have to text her to say I've created the thing then. Seems a bit redundant.

No swinging or anything, just tedious childcare arrangements.
