mp3 player repairs

I have 2 mp3 players that need repair ,
one gogear 4gig mp3 player.And another 8gig mp3 player.
When i plug them into a pc or laptop they are not detected and they do not
charge.
Is there a good shop in dublin that fixs media players ,or should i just
go to the shops that fix laptops and phones.
It seems to me as if the usb connectors might be faulty .
i tried 3 different usb cables ,it makes no difference.

probably cheaper just to buy new ones as repair would cost more than the cost of a better new one.
just the way of the world these days.
