Did Connacht not make a move for him last summer and get turned down? Can't imagine much changing for him to say ya now

    Not sure, wouldn't surprise me...

Doris is pretty settled in Dublin, assuming leinster try hard to keep him, i'd be somewhat surprised if he left at this stage.

Interestingly Dylan Murphy, who was pretty highly rated as a irish under-19 but went off the radar last season as a under-20.. mostly due to injury has re-emerged at Cork Con, he started at last weekend at tighthead for them.

Also Peter Kelleher was involved with Cork Con recently.

Hasn't hawkshaw been playing flyhalf for Ireland u18s? I know he's talented, but if Dean and Byrne get an academy deal, then I could see him spending a year in the sub academy. Some very good fly halfs at Leinster, and personally I can't wait for Ulster to poach one if Lowry doesn't hit a growth spurt.

Hawkshaw is under-19, I'd be shocked if Hawkshaw didn't get a deal straight from school... If he sticks at outhalf then I could see Dean or Byrne losing out.. but very early still.

Harry Byrne is quality from what I've seen this year, and has two years of 20's rugby to play, so might have that on his side when looked at per academy places. UCD with Patterson and Byrne at 9/10 for their 20's is very strong. Would expect both to play a lot of AIL under Skehan.

Yeah agree with all of that..

What they will do with Dean/Bryne/Hawkshaw is pretty interesting question.. personally think Hawkshaw long term future is in the centre.

A lot of time between now and April/May to see how players perform/develop.

can't really see any other players joining the academy straight from school, at least not right now..

I don't suppose you have similar views or details on the Connacht academy and sub-academy?

Not sure if you have that view or just relating to Leinster's?

    Thanks in advance.

Tom Tierney will take charge of the Ireland Under-19 squad this season, assisted by Colm McMahon (EPDO - Munster) and Bryan Young (Ulster Academy).

Peter Smyth takes charge of the Ireland Under-18 Schools squad this season and is supported by Maurice Lawlor (EPDO - Connacht) and Jamie Cornett (St. Mary's College).

Mark Butler (Talent ID Coach - Munster) is head coach of the Ireland Under-18 Clubs & Schools squad and he will be assisted by Colm Tucker (Talent ID Coach - Connacht) and Castleknock College's Adrian Flavin.

I would have said clearly trending up for Jones-was out injured sept and some of oct and has started one and off bench in another for Ulster and is now captaining Ulster A-thats from a standing start.
