None in Limerick, none in Killarney. That's it I'd say.

Thanks to the OP for this one. Opened at Christmas and haven't tasted anything like it before. So much fruit!

That's not a huge mark up considering the product and the fact that it's sold out, it was 40 sterling in the supermarket.

Yeah, its a nice enough whiskey for the original price, but add on commission 10% and delivery £23 and it's not worth it IMO

I have an unopened bottle, I am tempted to sell it.

I note one made 105 euro in 2024, on Irish Whiskey Auctions.

Do people think this price is achievable?

EDIT: I alse see prices of 85 at the same auction.

would you not drink it for the sake of 30 quid?

Saying that. I still have some of the bottle left I opened in 2017 :/

I'm sure this is a good whiskey for the price, but I find it really interesting that the age statement pulls in so many people.

I think people misunderstand that aging is not always a successful process, depending on the original distillate, and the barrels. Either can yield a fairly middling result sometimes.

I was gifted a Glenrothes a number of years ago that was 25 years old or so. I did a bit of digging, and basically established that it had endured several cask aging periods because they were more or less trying to get it to a stage where it could be sold as a premium whisky. It was "ok" in the end, but hardly exceptional.

If something is 26 years old but selling for 50 euro, there's a reason. Doesn't mean it's trash, but if it were as good as Teeling Reserves with the same age statement, it would probably have been snapped up and been sold in a format like that.

Yeah. It was a decent whiskey at €50. It certainly wasn't a €100 bottle, imo.

I suppose if you're really interested in aged whiskeys, and didn't have a bottle even at a hundred bucks it's not a bad price, wether people would go back and buy a second bottle after finishing the first is another story ..

yeah if it had been exceptional the whole lot could have been sold off to any one of the newer whiskey distillers ,
