    I don't understand why you'd need to build your own explosives if you live in the US.

    You can definitely get something higher quality and more destructive at a reasonable price.

    Surprisingly no, they don't sell bombs in shops in US.
    You can buy black powder or extract same from legally bought ammunition - which is main ingredient of p1p$ b0mm

    Apparently, the fact that more of these attacks don't come to fruition is partly because real life terrorists tend to be more like those in the movie Four Lions than those in The Siege.

    Of course, this is no help to the poor victims when one of these guys do eventually get their method right, as some do (Boston). Still, it's some comfort to know that never mind police/intelligence agencies foiling their plot, these guys can and do foil it themselves.

    Sounds like he was in one of the passageways. Odd place to set off a bomb in NYC. They'd be busy but the level of chaos that such an explosion would cause would be minimal in comparison a street level explosion in midtown.

    The initial reports were that it went off prematurely, which would explain why he's alive and there are no injuries.
