Best small house plants for north facing room?

Hi.

What are the best small house plants for a north facing room? Any cacti or succulents? Or other types?

I would have thought that cacti and succulents would do better in sunshine, but a quick Google brought up this website:

The orchids of various types that you see in supermarkets are very easy houseplants. They are happy with lowish light and thrive on a certain amount of neglect. I had a gorgeous one in flower for 6 months earlier this year, sitting on a table away from light and pretty much completely ignored apart from admiring it. It probably got watered once a month! They will flower again usually once or twice a year, for months at a time. Avoid repotting and over watering and you are good!

Another very easy one is the ubiquitous spider plant, which can be sad and neglected looking or plump and striped and happily producing babies depending on how you look after it. A very occasional feed, and adequate watering and it is pretty much impossible to kill.

Most orchids are better on a well lit north facing window than south. If the room is cool, cold even, then add Cyclamen to the list.
