Eir Fibre Odd Behaviour - How to monitor?

    Hey guys.

I have eir fibre in for a year or more now and have the standard F2000 modem.
Since day one and multiple times per day I am getting devices disconnected. I think its only happening to wifi connections but not 100% sure.

It's almost like the device is dropped as the signal becomes really weak however even standing right beside the modem it will happen.
I added a second router downstairs as I thought the signal wasn't quite reaching. Issue still remains.

Is there any software I can install on my pc to monitor the eir modem and activity to try find out what is going on?

I'm not even sure what I'm looking for but I'd like to at least be able to understand and articulate what is happening.

Any advice and tutorials would be much appreciated.

Sounds like auto-channel moving outside the range of your device (frequency, not distance). The US and EU use different schemes (1-11, 1-13) so this can happen and when it does, POOF, network just disappears.

Set a manual wifi channel of 10 or less on both main and AP and see how you get on.

I had a similar issue, turned out the modem was randomly booting devices that were connected to it, in my case it was the laptop. Rang up and it was sorted v quickly.

The 2.4GHz band on this router is notorious for just dropping out. The 5.2 band appears to be more stable.
    Is that what you're saying?

No it's happening on 5.2 as well.

I've been on to eir several times. Did test the usual remote "tests" and non descript reconfiguration. No change

Hence me wanting to try investigate myself a bit first to give them a steer but it does sound a little like you describe, the modem kicking devices off wifi
