Name change to "Major over the hill" is in order.

Look at it this way, in 10 years time, you'll be wishing to be where you're going to be tomorrow. Why not go and enjoy it for the 40 year old you!

TA by more and more people saying store instead of shop,
    movie instead of film,
    movie theatre instead of cinema,
    mail instead of post,
    invite instead of invitation,
meet with, join with, consult with instead of meet, join and consult,
continue on, reverse back, report back, revert back instead of continue, reverse, report, revert.
I could go on but I’m annoying myself too much.

TA that I ordered a package 2 weeks ago and UPS keep sending me emails saying they don't deliver daily to remote areas and my street address is wrong.

I live in the country side. What am I supposed to do.

I can see in the tracking that it keeps being sent over and back from Dublin to Shannon.

Tsk! You are only a baby :)

Why the hell do some bags of salad go slimey the day after opening, yet others (like the one i threw out today ) you forget are there still look edible days after their use by date?
And what is the deal with strawberries? How do they sometimes look manky by the time I get them home from the shop?

On a totally different note, it looks like the family home is sale agreed. Not quite sure how I feel, it is all very weird :(

discovered this morning I left the front door unlocked when I was going to bed last night. this is just the latest absent minded thing I've done recently. last week I came home from work to find one of the rings on the hob turned on with a lid of a saucepan sitting on top of it. and I don't remember turning on the hob. I hadn't used it since lunchtime the day before and never ever use it in the mornings! don't know what is more frightening - me getting absent minded or an intruder getting into my house!

A friend of mine years ago used to come home to her house after being at work all day and the kettle would have been boiled, she would lock all the internal doors so was puzzled, then she took the keys with her after locking them, kettle was hot a few more times, a girl she knew came to the house after she told her the story and told her there was a "presence" in the house, so she aske it to leave, and the kettle never boiled again...
If it makes you feel any better, I'm working from home today at 30 weeks pregnant and wearing my eating pants (Lidl knitted Christmas leggings that stretch like nothing else on earth), an oversized t-shirt from an open water swim I did in July and slippers just because I can... :pac:

TA'd that DPD UK are still playing silly buggers. They were specifically told by the escalations team that after a week of their bull**** that they should deliver my double pram before 5pm today. They gave the delivery slot after 5pm when I'm supposed to be doing the nursery run. I took a work from home day for this and I'm still subject to yet another round of their crap. It's now taken 11 days for them to get a pram to me that was on 24 hour delivery.

If you bought the pram with a credit card ring them and ask them to take over, goods paid for not received, they're quite good at dealing with it or will advise you what to do. stop stressing with DPD.;)

I have that sort of middle-of-the-road sickness where I can go about the day without too much fuss save a perpetual "sneezy" feeling in my nose all day and the sporadic drowsiness, but come night time my throat is mysteriously on fire and itchy and I am pumping sweat.

Physically couldn't get up this morning for a job interview for a perspective part-time role (that I had no intention of taking anyway. CE scheme....nah) as I was feeling my worst, but of course the symptoms abated my noon, which makes me look like a lazy git.

Windows 10 on my work computer updated last night and now my mouse wheel moves everything very quickly. Sucks when I use it all the time for zooming while drawing.

It did this before, then the next update fixed it, hopefully they will fix it again.

Kids picked up vomiting bug in preschool earlier in the week. The whole house got it. Now they're well enough to go back today and give my wife much needed respite and she gets a phone call from the crèche and it's closed due to vomiting bug outbreak.

Public bathrooms that have handles on the door for when you leave, not much point in washing my hands if I have to use a germ riddled door handle that is used by all those dirty bastards who don't wash their hands.

Why can't they have just have a door you can push open without a handle.

Exhausted. Couldn't sleep last night because the neighbour (whose bedroom backs onto mine) had her boyfriend over. Oh no, no funny business. They just wouldn't shut up talking and laughing, then one of them decided to turn on the (incredibly noisy) shower at 12.25am.
