    Bandylegs notices the man chanting.

'Ahoy there good sir, we've come for the festival. We were told this was where the real party was, aye.'

The man jumps, startled and draws down his cloak. It is Othonos.

"Oh, I must have left the door unlocked. Hello travellers and friend dwarf. This is the oldest church in the region to Soet. You can see earlier forms of his worship here. Not the liberal kind in Soetrard itself."

Betty whispers "The village doesn't come to this place. I knew the brotherhood had a meeting hall in the canyon walls, but not that it was an old church."

OOC: It's a good fit, -1 to roll not the target.
OOC: In this particular scenario as it is Cleric-related. You can try again in a few minutes, I'll let you know.

Bandylegs regards Othonos in an honourable fashion.

'Greetings, high cleric. I told ye I came to worship. Had a little... run in with some Orcs. Foul beasts. Lucky for me, these people came to me rescue. I thought ye said ye wouldn't be here on account of the festival though?'

OOC: You would know it is Chaotic, which usually means evil. Only rarely are Chaotic gods good.

    /Turns to Moy
Naught I can do to open the doors, 'tis priests work.

I move over to the passage into the church and step Bandy and into the shadows at the back of the pews where I can cover the interior of the church with my longbow (which is in my hand not drawn as I take wait to see the figures reaction to the dwarfs greeting).

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

ooc (ish): typical lawful agenda! That "evil chaos" gave birth to you and all your grubby, murdering, plundering kind! Also, given my ultimate goal is to destroy the shadow that tore perfection apart and created disgustingly orderly planes and hierarchies and causalities... My character arc may be about to peak prematurely...

Goodie rises from the ground covered in Devilish magic, a green energy crackles along his body.

A voice booms inside his head:

YOU DARE TOUCH MY MIND MOTE!!!

He feels like throwing up, but holds it together as thousands of bizarre images flood his head.

Suddenly he drops to the ground with a light steam coming of his skin.

A terrible secret has been left in Goodie's mind, but to voice it would be to die.

OOC: I'll PM Tigger with the secret. If Goodie says it, a devil pact will set his skin on fire.

Othegre wanders through the pews, twirling to take in the church's grandeur, eyeballing the booths and says in chaotic "I love what you've done with the place..."

Goodie seems okay, but pants heavily.

Stranger though is that Othonos seems not to have noticed.

    Bandylegs eyes the cleric suspiciously.

'I have heard of no such ritual, your grace. Devout Thurmun follower that I be an' all. Twould it be summit to do with your magick door back there?'

    He pauses for a minute.

'Or would it be... Thumuz ye be really worshippin'?'

Othegre shrugs coyly, turning away slightly and back, using that moment to confirm that the moon necklace Ekbard gave her earlier is covering her charm. She continues in chaotic :

"Well, I'm.. this is kind of embarrassing... I'm just.. well I grew up on tales of the great deeds of Tumuz and Carax... And I guess I just had to come and see. "

She pushed past the cleric, gesturing at the mural.

"Rend my belly sideways with a pickaxe! Is that...? It is...! No one paints him like that! This is so old-school!"
