    Hi All,

I am looking for a good bottle of whiskey for around 50-60 euro mark, to get someone for xmas. Any ideas as I don't know my whiskey.

    Thanks

My go-to Irish Whiskey's for that price range is Green Spot and Red Breast 12.

Fantastic whiskeys and most posters around here will agree. ;)

Totally agree on those two - my favourites

Ones that I would always have in the Gaf, good options.
Powers John's Lane is another one, slightly over budget @ 65, but it's worth considering
Or on the cheaper side Jameson Black Barell

Green Spot for sure, or Powers Johns Lane.. both get my vote.

Might try the Red Breast 12 suggestion myself as I've never had it!

    +1 for red breast 12yr.

Very nice stuff. Think I'll pick up one for myself as well.

Bought it earlier with a bottle of Greenspot for £62 all in and was free. Did use a forwarding service as it wouldn't deliver to Ireland.

Parcel wizard be better as they don't prohibit alcohol.

Yellow spot > green spot imo

I was at a Powers whiskey event tonight, so pardon the plug. The John’s Lane is a good buy at €65, or the Single Pot Still for €55.

They have a pop-up shop at L Mulligan Whiskey Shop for the Christmas season, and for €15 extra, you can get the bottle engraved, plus get two hefty Powers whiskey tumblers.

I am a fan of SPS, especially Green Spot and Redbreast.

I am considering buying Power Three Swallows SPS, it was 35 in Tesco last Sunday.

With a voucher, that means I pay 25.

This seems like a good deal?

Only problem is it's gone from the shop when I looked last night.

I'm starting to think that 3 Swallows at that price is the best bang for buck going.

I prefer it to the Black Barrell myself in that price range.

Likewise. I'd snap it up at that price

while I cannot find anything saying they prohibit alcohol, take note of this, I expect if you emailed them they would make it clear, and also that glass is not covered in insurance
What if there is VAT/Duty due on my parcel being delivered to the Parcel Wizard UK Virtual Address?
DPD Parcel Wizard UK Virtual Address will not accept receipt of any parcel where duty, VAT or any other payment is required.

    https://www.dpdparcelwizard.ie/Help-FAQ/faqcategory/-1/CurrentPage/2

I believe excise duty and VAT is due if sent from anywhere outside of ROI above the % set out by revenue.
