"Do you have Tumuz's cloak with you Betty or is it back in the village? Do you know much about that cloak, as you've had it for 3 years?"

"It's strange...only now do I see why...it makes you seem more impressive in the eyes of others, but it is very hard to move in. I keep it folded within my armour. I considered it an honour to wear."

Betty thinks a bit and pulls the cloak out, placing it on the ground. It bears the symbol of a black eye in front of a grey castle.

"Don't feel like having it now" she says.

Look at Betty again, checking for changes, does she turn into a litle girl or is she still just as impressive as before?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,558 ✭✭✭✭Fourier

She's still a large woman, but looks 6' 2''-ish, not 7' as before. Her muscle is not as bulky. Basically before she was an Amazon, now she is an impressive warrior.

"wow, thats some powerful effects", "Please to meet you again Betty, for real this time"
Ekbard, puts his shield in his backpack, grabs a torch, and lights it with implements from the cart, he packs 3 spare torches.

"Okay, shall we see whats next door?"

"Let's go" Betty nods confidently. "Rid the village of the memory of this man"

The room is full of dead Orcs. Hard to tell how many, their skulls have been crushed and limbs ripped off. At least twelve.

The room is circular with four statues placed in alcoves in each corner of the room and a high domed ceiling.

A larger stone statue stands in the middle of the room, that of Tumuz, a normal looking man in noble clothing. Behind that, between two of the statues is a large vanity painting of the man in his dark lord days.

"Songsunder! Can't a girl have five d'joring minutes? Simon! Box! I know... Don't take that tone... You tell her; I've taken my licks for the day.. no way! You're the only eight foot pain in the hole here. Box, or I'll leave you here to mind the horses!"

She packs her gear and follows into the next room.
"Wow! Is there a Mrs lord of fire and death?" She curtseys slightly, then moves to look at the 4 statues, starting with the nearest on the left.

Ooc : is her charm still going bananas?

OOC: Ekbard, saving throw against death. p.55 of rules. Need to roll greater than or equal to 12

As Ekbard looks around the room and Othegre regards the statue. The statue in the centre of the room's eyes glow a bright deathly red. The statue in the alcove next to Othegre suddenly flings its fist toward her face, but she dodges with a quick tilt of the head before jumping back.

Another statue steps out of the alcove and goes to strike Ekbard from behind, however he ducks on warrior instinct.

As the other two statues land on the rooms floor, a click is heard and a stone slab seals this room from the other.

Betty rushes to the doors, but is just a bit too late.

    "Warrior, Priestess....we will help you"

She looks around the first room frantically.

Ekbard grabs all the necklaces and raises them above his head and shouts " Sleep you fiendish moving statues!", while putting as much distance as possible between himself and the statues.

The statues freeze in place. The central statues eyes begin to glow a brighter red and steam begins to rise from it. Very slowly, it is pushing life back into the others, which begin to twitch.

Othegre falls back to stand beside - and slightly behind - Ekbard. She begins receiving a ward against evils but pauses to see if the Mr T routine has an effect

Ekbard smashes the statues while they are frozen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,558 ✭✭✭✭Fourier

Ekbard jumps from statue to statue, reducing them to rubble. The central statue emits a low drone and the rubble begins to reassemble.

Othegre completes the incantation and begins to flail the central statue like an epileptic magikarp

Ekbard smashes the reassembling rubble as it trys to reassemble itself.

Ekbard throws a few smacks in with the torch for good measure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,558 ✭✭✭✭Fourier

Ekbard easily keeps pace with the reassembly, smashing each piece as it is reconstituted. The central statue cannot keep up thanks to the necklaces.

Eventually Othegre causes the central statue to collapse and the others turn permanently to dust.

Ekbard is covered in a red glow as Jammai extends her protection to him.

Ekbard examines the floor where the statue landed that caused a click noise, keeping an eye on the central statue to make sure the flailing is keeping it down.

    "Othegre SMASH!"
She keeps flailing at the rubble for a while, then grins and turns to Ekbard.

"You look different.... Been eating porridge?"
