Man in a gorilla suit playing musical instrument in schools.

Does anyone recall in the 80's a guy in a gorilla suit going around to schools and playing I think a cello or violin? I remember seeing him featured on the telly a couple of times, one time was on maybe Scratch Saturday or one of those programmes that replaced Anything Goes. I also remember him in a few newspaper articles…

I think he was in a children's tv show based in Cork.
