I got a plumber out last sat. He put new fittings under tap heads on kitchen sink as one was not shutting off properly he said it best to replace the two of them though, he replaced the hot and cold stop cock in hot press and unblocked bathroom sink with a fancy plunger and bled rads upstairs. I also said theres a leak under sink. He said there was no leak. Charged me 350 euro. When he left my electric shower in en suite not working whatever he did and there is a bad leak under kitchen sink. Got him back today and he said shower was an air locked and sorted that. Said I need a new stop cock under kitchen sink. Said that be €155. I said seems excessive. That like 505 euro TOTAL. He went on about vat and tax and stuff. I said vat only 13.5%. I then said you mind talking to my partner. I rang my partner and he said to him what I needed doing and he said you can have a look yourself later. He got off phone and said to me that my partner be taking a look. He left pretty quick. My partner rang me back and said that was a bit rude. Said he didnt say he would look. He said nothing and the plumber just hung up on him. I would like to know was he ripping me off??
