    Any idea when it's back?

Nothing official. Netflix say later this year but it's not on their release schedule for December, other sources say next year. Brooker says it's "imminent". Press embargo is up on the 4th. The current drip feed of promotional material will last until the 5th at least, so maybe we'll get a release date then or maybe even a surprise release.

I can see them releasing it next week, once the 13 days of Black Mirror comes to an end. It would be fitting for them to just release it and let people stumble upon it.

I love the story behind the making of Monsters; it was made for roughly.. $100,000 - $500,000. I think figures differ from place-to-place. Many (if not most) of the extras were actually volunteers who did it entirely for free - and loved it. Edwards did all of the CGI by himself in his bedroom on his own computer -- and when you watch it it compares to most modern box office movies.

It's insane that he went from making a $500,000 ultra-stripped back Sci-Fi movie to being handed the keys to a $150m Godzilla movie. And then Rogue One. There was a great interview with him on the Mark Kermode/Simon Mayo show in which he discussed just how nervous he was -- not just because of the responsibility associated with handling not only such a huge budget, but a franchise with 5-odd decades in it.

It's just such a pity that Monsters #2 was such a turgid mess. It completely changed the theme and came off worse for it.

also what really worked is the dynamic between the 2 main actors in that they are married in real life and starting dating 6 months before the film was shot

Suburra: Blood on Rome is great. It's like an Italian version of Love/Hate. Focusses on the mafia and gypsy gangs in Rome and their dealings with the Catholic Church and politicians.

For me, it was a film with a strong premise and fantastically inventive ways to work around a tiny budget let down by the lack of a script. The dialogue and interactions between the two leads in the first half of the film fell totally flat for me (in a way that suggested neither of them really knew who their character was or how they should be responding to the other person), although they improved gradually throughout the film.

It's worth a watch, but for me it was flawed-but-promising rather than outright fantastic. Horses for courses and all that, I suppose :)

Hopefully, but doesn't Netflix generally release new content on Fridays? I also find it strange that they would release it without any in-catalogue promotion first, like a trailer. They could wait until Friday the 8th but then it will be conflicting with the release of The Crown season 2. But I guess since this will be a surprise release all bets are off.

It might be a Christmas Day release.

I hope there is a second season.

They often drop stuff on a Tuesday or Wednesday. At the very least we'll have a release date next week.

Waterworld is a film that is generally reviled but I really enjoy it.

Green Zone is a passable thriller, worth seeing for Jason Isaac's moustache.

The Adjustment Bureau isn't great but it's extremely watchable, one of those films where if it's on I'll usually watch it.

The Kingdom has a fantastic intro/title sequence. The rest of it is pretty forgettable.

Finished the two seasons of Big School, and would certainly recommend it. It's David Walliams and Katherine Tate (I think is her name), who I generally don't like but she's quote funny in it.

It's light enough buy very entertaining BBC comedy.

Adjustment Bureau is quite good. Based on a Philip K Dick novel.

Im not really sure why i enjoyed it, but I liked Shot in the Dark, someone recommended it a few pages back. I was watching it wondering why i was enjoying it, its not anything wow factor, or keep you guessing about anything, maybe it was the whole reality tv factor, if anyone gets what im on about (not sure if i know myself) :D

The Secret Scripture is an Irish film that, as seems usual, is a dour tale about the life of a woman whose been in a mental institution for 50 years. Watchable all the same. 7/10

What made it even better was it didn't outstay it's welcome, 7 episodes was perfect. Great performance all round especially from Jeff Daniels and Merritt Weaver as Mary Agnes, great to see Jack O'Connell pull of the hero brilliantly. The last episode was some of the best TV I've seen in a while and that shootout in the hotel was fantastic. It does seem like it's a one and done show, can't imagine them going back and doing more set in the town.

One of the biggest gut punches had to be
Thomas Brodie-Sangster loveable Deputy Sheriff Whitey, the way he died was so sad. No heroic save the day moment for him. Before the shoot out begins he's the first to get knocked off
    . Anyway great series 10/10

I notice both that and Alias Grace are referred to as 'Limited Series' when you select them so I think they're just one offs. It's actually nice to watch a show that's a complete story tbh.

I'd say they're 'limited' until they're not; if either show generates enough success and praise, Netflix will absolutely bankroll a follow-up. I think Stranger Things was initially just a mini/limited series until word of mouth did its thing.

I thought it was ok, some likable characters but it took me like three or four episodes to realise what was going on.

The final episode reminded me of the ending fromYoung Guns but on cocaine.

John wick is brilliant, the nightclub scene is class. Hope they add John Wick 2.
