    Hello folks,

Quite a peculiar issue occurred a week ago. Our oven Neff started showing a weird symbol(as shown in the attached pic) instead of standard "C" temperature symbol.

We can't really attribute that to anything other than a few weeks ago our area(Dublin 7) had lost power twice. The First time we didn't notice any problems. the next time we only noticed that we lost power again when we woke up and found out that the time in the oven was wrong again. it was a working day, so we left it as is. when a few days later we fixed the time and tried to heat up a pizza it wouldn't want to heat up. Sometimes the grill fan would spin but that's about it.

Service call costs 90 euro, just for a pop in and say "Hi!", so I'd love to figure on my own first. Maybe it's just an obscure setting we couldn't find or something else. Or as I read on the internet some people have had problems with a thermostat in the past and simple replace helped.

So, any advice would be welcome.

    Thank you in advance

possibly a faulty oven element, remove the cover at the rear and do a visual on the element for distortion, blow out etc.

Try switching the power to the oven off for a few minutes then switching it back on and resetting the time. It's possible the clock/timer circuit may need a reboot.
Otherwise, you need to establish whether it's the thermostat or the oven element that's faulty.
Kenco Spares is quite near you....give them a call with the model number. They probably have replacements. I've found them excellent for that kind of thing in the past.
